Yessss! Do it.. ^all the cheap bits are bought.. just the expensive bits left

You're telling me! Pitchforks, Profile race cranks and Elite hubs with GSPORT rims on the way. I actually got the hubs in blue...because indigo. Build is gonna look ace.

Oh damn, Sun-Ringle or did Sun but them? No thoughts on Loveland but I bet they make nice benches there.

Just Ringle.. from the early - mid 90s before Geoff Ringle was bought out by Sun... that's when all the fun stopped!

The guy behind G-Sport George French is from my home town.. well city, he was studying engineering at Sheffield Uni and making BMX parts in his shed.. He used to drive around in an old white Ford Escort van full of BMX's with G-Spot written down the side in green 😎

He had the ideas and practical side of his business down but never the legal side.. he would bring new products to market without the trademarking properly in place, international licensing and such.. only to see his hard work reverse engineered and copied.. i seem to remember one of his revolutionary new hubs was copied and the company who stole his idea issued him with a cease and desist order forcing him to stop making his own damn hub. 😠

I think he's teamed up with Odyssey nowadays... good luck to him!

Ahh yes, George, I remember (used to buy RideUK as well) when he came out with the first female hubs, you just had to buy the bolts, no axles. And then everyone came out with them, you know who the company was that did the C&D? Glad Odyssey got him onboard too, probably takes care of the legal.

It's crazy but parts are still hard to come buy, have bought from over 10 different sites to get everything I wanted. Picked up the last piece of the puzzle last night (Profile 19mm mid bottom bracket). Will be worth it though.

I've got no sympathy.. I've been searching for a 29.4mm Syncros Hardcore seatpost for nearly 4yrs :D

I'm not surprised, after the lockdown boom.. the bike industry here in the UK/Eu is fucked, Signa Sports the parent company who own some of our largest online bike retailers have put itself into voluntary administration.. which would be good news for the smaller bricks n' mortar stores, tragedy is.. most of them have already been put out of business by these online behemoths.

I've just finished Season 1 of Hamilton's Pharmacopeia

He's a chemist with a love of psychoactive substances.. he travels the world, meeting the cooks, breaking down their chemical compounds and occasionally testing some .. all in the name of research.

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6x1g9y

Ep06^ was particularly enjoyable.. focusing on, Alexander Shulgin and Darrell Lemaire's work isolating the mdma molecule and the period before it hit the streets when it was supplied to psychotherapists for the treatment of anxiety and such... something we only seem to be catching up with now 50+ yrs later.

I'm going to start season 2 today.. it looks toad-lickingly good!

Happy new year all. I’m in my tender 129s, which are sufficiently beat in and I have a pair of 132 Achilles Heel on the way. I’ve waited a few years to settle on a roomier pair of my favorite denim and decided to go with the originals. It will be interesting to see how the indigo overdye compares to the woad overdye after some years of wear.

Happy new year! I was thinking of switching over from the Denime 220A I’ve been wearing back to a pair of FW or Fullcount that both have a few weeks of wear, but I’m going to continue with the 220s for a while longer… they’re just too comfortable.

Been wearing my old SC47's with arcs for the last few weeks. Got a pair of nwot valencia 201's on ice waiting for a buckle upgrade. Gonna wear em raw for a while as l love the denim in that state.

Got one pair of Conners waiting to go to London to be hemmed at Soas and the other in Mrs_Heech's sewing pile waiting for a crotch repair. Not a blow out, just some top stitching.

Just enjoying all the wonderful pairs that l'm lucky enough to own/wear with no plans to buy any new denim in the foreseeable future.

Happy new year everyone!

Starting the year with IH slubby denim, here in the 1955 cut they produced exclusively (AFAIK) for The Shop Vancouver. Lovely fabric.

Happy new year everyone!

as i've mentioned to a couple of folks here already, i'm going to be moving back to south america later this year, either heading down thru mexico & central america by motorcycle or flying to venezuela to visit family & making my way around from there. hoping to do some more writing work in the amazon & some photojournalism while travelling, which i'll be sure to share here. anyway, planning for this has got me thinking a lot about what jeans i'd want to bring along... probably only 1 pair, sadly... my heart calls me either to some tender 132s or the tcb good luck jeans, tho i worry about fabric weight being an issue with both. might just go with some okinawas from @roomtemplacroix's collection. but today i have my trusty old cane's on, am gonna give em a wash n patch both knees again, lol. here's to a lovely & restful start to the year for all!

Happy New Year’s to everyone. I’m in my Samurai S3000vx, I’m aiming to wear these during winter on days when I’m wearing an untucked shirt, and my TFH 3005s on other days and mix in my TFH hickory stripe pants once a week or so.

Yes I did. I’ve known Evan from HH for a while. He’s one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people I’ve met on the denim world
