  1. Cedar is the best route IMO unless you can’t stand the smell. I think it smells nice, gets rid of musty smell and moisture.
  2. If you keep them in the closet with cedar, they won’t be musty. They’ll actually smell pretty good.

    Trophy Clothing

My 1607 came in. Fits like the Levi’s 501. The texture isn’t as gritty as my other Trophy pair, but overall the fit is great. Not too narrow and full in the thigh. If anyone here is looking for a 501 style fit, these definitely do it. The only thing that sucks right now is I have to send these to get hemmed. When I lived in NC, I could go down the street to get chain stitched hemmed in Greensboro. if anyone knows of a place that can chain stitch hem in Virginia, post it!

Can anyone educate me on the difference between horsebutt and Horsehide leather? Also, do Attractions engineer boots have a soft toe or composite hard toe?

Can’t find much info as far as date and price, but a collab with Brat Style is coming up in the 1607 model, which this one looks to be even slimmer than the regular 1607 narrow. This model is also a 13.5oz unlike the 14.5oz version.
  6. The only thing I don’t like about leather jackets is weight loss. As someone who has it gone through (and still going through) drastic weight loss, nothing is worse than having a jacket you can no longer wear because it’s now too big to wear. I Had a leather jacket a while back that went through that tragedy. Unlike jewerly, which can fit almost all body types, jackets can’t. Just my .02 Go with the jacket but don’t make any drastic weight loss or weight gain decisions.

Here’s a faded pair of the 1607 that was posted on Trophy’s old blog in 2010

I just bought the 1607 narrow model from Denimio as I haven’t worn slim denim in years so this should be interesting. I can’t wait to try them on when I get them in the mail.

    Trophy Clothing

Just wanted to add, no matter which style you do with Trophy, their measurements are body friendly regarding not too slim or too big. I'm having a hard time finding other brands in the same size of their narrow and regular straight models that have the same measurements. I just wish they would bring back their Blackie model, which is their black denim style.
  13. Is it better to buy a pair of denim at your current size now knowing that you are in the process of losing weight (10 lbs) or buying the denim later when you have lost the 10 lbs? I've been debating this for quite some time as I'm currently losing weight and changing my eating habits.

I had my Wesco boss changed from a MP toe to a Boss toe. The look I’m trying to make is to emulate the 100th Anniversary Horsehide Boss Wesco Japan made with a vintage last. Wesco told me that only Wesco Japan has the vintage last. Anyway, this is the look I’m going for except with a half sole. This is my first Wesco so everything has to be perfect.

REGAL hands down make some of the best derbies I’ve seen IMO for the price point of $300-$400ish If you can actually find them in stock. Good luck trying to find a pair. Edit: REGAL starts out at $200 or less depending on which model you choose. These are a good example https://global.rakuten.com/en/store/footmonkey/item/regal-810r-b/

You could ask them to make one if you give them measurements. That'd definitely would be worth posting in the TCB thread if the made to order goes through.

Since Style Eyes is under the Toyo brand, does anyone here actually like the Strat CatsxStyle Eyes collaboration that just came out?
  20. Even though I got laughed at when I asked this on styleforum, I think you can get outside insurance policy on the things you own like jeans, shoes, etc based on value. I never looked into it really but I think it can be done.

Decided to switch from nylon to leather laces and it’s a world of difference in fit. The nylon laces, even though they look great, make the boot really tight. The leather laces have better give and will mold with the boot. It’s definitely a different look.
  22. Cameras could be a good investment. You could get some cheap ones or expensive versions and see the image on your phone when you're away.
  23. Do you have apartment insurance? It might be able to cover your loss. I'd talk with them to figure something out.

That is the first non-floral Hawaiian shirt from Sun Surf I’ve ever seen!
