    • Got a brand new pair of 60's in a 36 waist for sale, direct from TCB, unfortunately they are too big but I had them hemmed to 34" inside leg so can't send them back. £100 + postage. DM me if interested.
    • It’s all of what you say - you choose your ‘fit’ in much the same way I do, but you probably ‘wear’ them differently. I’ve bought shirts from a lot of different brands (by that I mean the brands on this forum) and eventually I’ve got rid of them all. Some of the ‘fits’ were decent, some were challenging, and some were just plain wrong - I’m looking at you Christophe - ultimately I’ve found FW shirts to be the most consistent (accepting all the points made by yourself and Joss). I’ve got 117 in all cuts and fabrics and only the cotton/linen Brakeman didn’t work ... and that’s because FW decided to experiment with the warp and weft and they fucked up.
    • Makes sense. I also expect that you and I may like our shirts to fit differently, or are limited by different minimum / maximum acceptable measurements in different areas (or maybe it’s just me fighting against the variety of intended fits & you accepting them) All I really look at when sizing shirts is the shoulders, neck, and sleeves—those need to fit well to be wearable; the rest of the cut is up to the designer / manufacturer to get right Given the differences in style, it’s possible that I “should” be wearing a 17 1/2 in everything they make—but I do like how my Union Special shirts fit as-is, and I’m sure I couldn’t fit into the Painted Desert if it was a half size smaller…go figure
    • Yeah, the 1333008 is the wool serge shirt - it’s very similar in fit to the Jesse, Billy and the rest of that series. A slim cut but it sounds like it’s also shrunk a good bit. The collar is more formal than the Neal which has a softer almost unstructured collar, so it’s a bit apples and oranges. I wouldn’t expect the shoulders to be the same give the very different cuts - the sleeves are much slimmer in the painted desert too - but I still wear a 17 in those and a 17 in the Neal (and the slightly different Bakehead).
