They're def on the shorter side of what we are used to carrying but generally inseam length preferences have trended shorter and shorter the last few years especially as looser cuts became more popular so we've done quite well with the jeans. Many people have been able to just buy and walk out the store with them w/o needing a hem. We've actually sold through most of our initial delivery in a few months of carrying it so I think people have really embraced the shorter and looser style.

The avg. height of a male in the U.S. is 5’9” 

A 30” inseam is usually plenty for that height, with even a little extra for a cuff if you want. It can depend a bit on your particular frame. I’m 5’8” and jeans that come 30” out of the box with a nice chain stitch hem are too long, but good if turned up. I wish more came that length. Obviously lots of dudes are taller but it’s hard to call that the norm.

We've hemmed (literally) tens of thousands of jeans over the past 18 years.. the average inseam in North America is definitely shorter than 30".

We have the Pure Blue Japan 003 classic straight leg fit in a tasty denim style they've developed to contain just the right about of slub in a nice medium weight 16.5oz unsanforized (but Self Edge-style rinsed) denim and the XX-019 straight tapered jean made of a 14oz denim coming in on the lighter side of PBJ’s weight scale which are finished with custom iron buttons, a deerskin patch, and sturdy cotton twill pocket bags.

SELF EDGE X HTC HAND-MADE STUDDED BELTS & KEY FOBS 

We’ve been carrying studded belts from Zip Stevenson’s Hollywood Trading Company for almost 15 years and thought it was time for a fresh collection. We’ve been working with the team over at HTC over the past year to develop three new belt styles and two key fobs, all hand made in their workshop in Los Angeles using full grain cowhide, snakeskin, and stringray. These are available now at all five of our stores.

Yes! We'll be open in Austin in about three weeks.  The store is located in Zilker and we'll be offering everything you see in our online shop and we'll have  an in-house tailor studio (just like our other four US based stores) so we can offer denim hemming and repairs.

There's going to be a very big opening weekend of events May 3, 4, and 5 too!

FINE CREEK VIRGINIA BEACH HORSEHIDE TYPE II JACKET 

Fine Creek Leather’s Virginia Beach Type II jacket is finally back in stock after being unavailable for over three years. This is our number one most client requested horsehide jacket from any brand we carry, and we’re excited to see that it’s available again. The way the front chest pleats pull and pucker with wear is truly a sight to behold. This comes in as a classic fit with just a hair of length added to the body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Fine Creek makes some of the most beautiful horsehide jackets we've seen. Using a vegetable tanned Japanese Shinki horsehide, which ages in a fairly fast manner, they cut and sew these jackets in their own studio in Tokyo. The quality of stitching is as good as it gets for a leather jacket, and we've not seen many jackets age as well as these do. Depending on the panel they'll use a different type of stitch thread and thread count to achieve puckering in certain areas for added character.

SAMURAI ZERO FABRIC ECRU JEANS & T-SHIRTS 

Samurai’s ZERO FABRIC is now available as an 18oz natural undyed slub denim with a "dirt" selvedge ID.

Samurai has done a crazy but beautiful thing.. In 2010 they bought a small farm outside Osaka, Japan, with the hopes they would be able to grow their own cotton with the intention of one day being able to make garments made of their own cotton, as in a truly vertically made garment. After fourteen years they've been able to grow enough cotton to make jeans and of course they're as beautiful as the story behind them. The cotton is minimally processed in very small batches without the use of any harsh cleaning or whitening agents, also all fractured cotton seeds and all staple lengths are left in the cotton during the carding and spinning process for a truly unique fabric. We can really say we’ve never felt or seen denim like this from any company. These jeans are now available in very small numbers at our stores.

We've also received ZERO FABRIC t-shirts in three colors, all available with and without pockets.
