Here’s the jacket, it’s quite nice. I might pick one up depending on price.

I’d just prefer them to stop spamming my feed with their shit. I guess my main issue is with IG and their implementation of advertising. Every 5 posts is an ad.

I mean like ads that actually show up in your feed that say sponsored post. Not posts from the brands accounts directly that you actually follow.

Feel like I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again. I absolute hate Instagram advertising. If your store or brand advertises on Instagram the likelihood that I’ll purchase anything from you drops to zero percent. I report pretty much every ad is see on Instagram as spam.

    Full Count Denim Thread

My thoughts exactly. They went after TCB and I had to send my contest 20’s jeans back and opted for a refund given that I wasn’t fond of the cat ear arcs. Then the go and dump their own arcs. Pretty lame.

    The Flat Head

Fit pic after the soak, only soaked for about 30 minutes in room temperature water. I'm also wearing a IH shirt and 3Sixteen tee underneath so I think I actually have enough room. Denim is still super stiff, feels so much different than my TCB 50's jacket that's really soft and drapes well at this point.

Well I went for it and put a preorder down on the Devil's Causeway boots, sorry to disappoint Ed. Now the waiting game begins.

That’s what I was hoping for actually so that’s good news!

Thanks everyone, definitely a risk given how small FH stuff runs but I couldn’t pass it up. Giving it a cold soak right now, hopefully it’ll be dry by tomorrow.

    The Flat Head

So after some searching I came across this 6002-A brand new with tags and decided to take a gamble as I've wanted this jacket for a very long time. I knew the 44 would be a little small, but I think it'll be alright, I can button it up pretty easily and you can see quite bit of room in the back. The front fit pic is a little misleading, the denim is so stiff so it doesn't drape very well. The denim is nice, super stiff right now so hard to get an idea of fit. I'm definitely going to go easy with the soak. But if it ends up too small I'll sell it because I got it for a very good price.

Interesting announcement here, I'll be keeping my eye out for whatever they have cooking up with Manifold. Edit: looks like Instagram imbedding is messed up, but this post was supposed to have an Instagram post. They posted another with photos from Shinki tannery and it looks like they're making a leather jacket! Thankfully tax returns are just around the corner.

Man this dude seems like such an arrogant douche. No reason to shit on the JP brands who have been doing this for decades and made this niche market even accessible to him to begin with. Thanks for the write up and references @501XX4EVER.

    Warehouse

@JDelage I think it’s intended to be boxy, imagine wearing a tight denim T-shirt or button down. There’s very little give and it would be difficult to get on and off. Doesn’t sound very comfortable to me.

No details, S&S just posted a question on their IG story asking what you wanted to see from their store in 2019. I said more Ooe and another Ooe contest and they reposted it and said that they’re working on that.

@SLAB looks like they are on the WH blog, so I'd assume soon: https://warehouse-staff-blog.tumblr.com/post/181890635633/2nd-hand-1105-used-wash Also the spring/summer catalog is online and there's some really nice stuff coming. I really like their take on the closed and open front jumpers. Link to the catalog: https://info.ware-house.co.jp/product/season/wh2019ss/

@goodrain good eye, I just assumed that they were the cloth patches like we saw previously. Definitely pocket bags.

I’ve got that same MF jacket and I find it hard to wear with my wardrobe, nice pairing.

I’m ready. On another note I’m trying to hold out on a wash of my Memorial jeans until the new ones are announced, starting to shed some indigo finally.

That’s true, I just think its a side hustle to him and that’s what’s kinda phony about it to me. Like it seems like such a flippant approach to ask for a shit ton of money for a pair of jeans and not even give your customer a timeframe. But miraculously if you pay even more money you can jump up to the front of the queue. How convenient!

Shoes that look better with age...

I don’t know what it is Ed but Wesco doesn’t really do a lot for me. They look so uniform and totalitarian. Their leathers look kind of flat to me. All that being said I’ve never seen a pair in person either.

I doubt it would really accomplish much given his hostilities in the past. I just think the whole thing is kinda phony.

Can’t believe anyone’s still giving this chump money. Guess I’m one of those “keyboard cowboys” he’s always going on about.

So I think I’m going to go with a 12 in the Devil’s Causeway engineers, I’m wearing my old Alden Indy’s today and a lot of people seemed to say go with the same size. Now that I’m wearing them for the first time in ages they feel a little snug. Kind of tempted to get the JL Combat boots too...
