    Freewheelers, Bootleggers Reunion, Bubo, etc.

Can't remember if I've asked this question before or not, but here we go. FW thermals: I'm assuming they are pretty forgiving? They only make up to size large but I've been wanting to try one out. Corlection's product page says they stretch 2-3 inches in the chest, can anyone attest to that? Their measurements for a size large show a 19.5 in. chest, so that'll stretch out to ~21.5-22.5 which should be fine for me. I understand thermals are supposed to be fitted / slim, just wanted to see if anyone could chime in before giving one a shot.

    Superdenim community sale thread

Still have a few pairs up for sale, let me know if anyone is interested! I can provide pricing and measurements via direct message. Surprised no one has been interested in the Cone LVC's or Flat Heads.

Also interested in the 125 cut, the walnut denim looks nice.

I’m enjoying them a lot, they’ve been my go-to pair for the last few months. I feel like even since this most recent photo dump they’ve started shedding some more indigo. I’ll probably try and wait a month or so before washing again now that it’s cooling off a bit. Highly recommended.

No justifying this one in my climate, but it's a lovely coat. Maybe I'll move north.

    Colimbo / Hinson

@Duke Mantee totally get that, see this a lot in my line of work. Just because something is made in the same factory doesn't always mean the same standards/expectations are held by each contracting party. I always drew connections to the brands (mainly FW and Colimbo) since they have a similar ethos/approach to what they make. What I like is that both brands put their own spin on everything they do. Not ever really meant to be a straight vintage reproduction.

Fair enough, I worked in a shop that stocked Barbour and I was always underwhelmed at the quality and fit as well. Lord knows I really don't need any more outwear as it is.

    Colimbo / Hinson

Thanks for starting this thread Duke, I've started to develop a soft spot for Colimbo over the last few seasons. I was wondering why there always seems to be a correlation between FW retailers and Colimbo, makes sense given the above information. Is there also some connection to Rainbow Country leather jackets? So far I only have a cotton flannel CPO that I really enjoy wearing, but I might add an outerwear item or two this fall. Definitely intend to buy this blanket linked denim jacket, and I like this Barbour inspired coat as well. This Hinson bag is nice, but I don't really have any need for a bag currently.

@Duke Mantee you’re not wrong, but it doesn’t have the Barbour name associated with it so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And it has a few other small details.

@Chris T I find the only pair that I own that fits quite differently from the rest are the S1001XX 1946 25th anniversary jeans. Not sure what is is about them, but the hips/thighs are just a bit trim. The denim feels a bit more tightly woven too by comparison. Once I wear them for a few days they feel fine, but I feel like I almost could've sized up on those in hindsight. I have one of the type I's with the duck digger denim and it's really nice, almost feels a bit lighter than the standard Banner denim. Faded examples look great too.

Another nice jacket from Colimbo this fall. Seem to be coming back to their offerings a lot lately.

Appears so, denim descriptions for both pairs on the website are the same. 6番×6番(14.5 Oz)メンフィスコットン単一綿 No. 6 x 6 (14.5 Oz) Memphis cotton single cotton

@beautiful_FrEaK congrats on the new addition! Need to get them some Nippers.

Not putting me on the spot at all! I'm definitely a fan of the 1001 cut. I think all the pairs I have from WH are 1001's except the 1000XX Deadstock Blues and the USN pants I picked up earlier this year. Favorite denim is probably just the standard Banner denim, I have a Hinoya collaboration pair from a few years back with the shorthorn patch and that's probably my favorite pair overall. I find the 1000xx DSB pair to be a little saggy in the seat which is why I haven't worn them much yet. The denim is very nice based on the faded examples I've seen. I have the new WWII era Leepros and 1004XX(1000XX) 1936 cinch back models preordered, that'll give me a little more variety. Will post comparison pictures once I get them in.

If I recall correctly, didn’t WH used to offer this denim in the past? I vaguely remember a slightly heavier iteration of the Banner denim used maybe 7-8 years back but I could be wrong.

    Levi's Vintage Clothing

I mean come on...just terrible! Looks kind of like a little kid wearing his dad's jacket or something. This can be yours for a cool $395.

Catalog probably will be released around January or so, and then you can preorder direct through Warehouse. Only risk is that they don't publish any size charts until they get the goods in, so kind of have to go off your gut. Or just wait until it lands!

    Levi's Vintage Clothing

So where does this long type II rank amongst ugliest things LVC have ever produced? I know there were some real eyesores in the past, but boy do I sure despise this. Are there vintage examples of long type II jackets? I've never seen anything like it personally but I'm no expert.

    West Ride by Western River

@beautiful_FrEaK how have your 1953XX's been coming along? These are kind of a cross between West Ride and Warehouse, interesting nonetheless. Made using the Deadstock Blue denim from WH.

    Bridge of the Times

Bridge Of The Times is a one man brand run and operated by Masatoshi Takenaga. BoT was founded in 2020 and is located in the Hino district of the Tottori prefecture. BoT focuses on reproducing '47 jeans, specifically the 824XX T-47 model with a slew of vintage sewing machines ranging from the 1920's to 1960's. Additionally BoT has started branching out to offer a 506XX reproduction (the 806XX) as well as other limited cinchback model jeans. These can be seen on his Instagram feed. Currently these jeans are only available for purchase via two methods: actually visiting his shop in person to try them on for size, and domestically in Japan via Instagram during specified time slots. BoT is not currently offering international orders, but I am hoping to find a way to get a pair myself as his work seems quite good! There's not a lot of information out there about the brand since it is pretty new, so I thought I would start a thread to wrangle in the discussion in a dedicated place. @Duke Mantee I was a little worried after how much came off in the first wash, but it seems to have settled.

    Ooe-Yofukuten & Co.

@aho I was thinking maybe more hiking gear similar to the backpacks they did a little while back. Whatever it is I'm sure it'll be interesting, sweats would be cool. And I feel similarly about the feedback on BS, I think the influx of interest honestly overwhelmed him a bit. I never actually got an answer on the 03's, I just pieced it together that I wasn't going to get a pair. When my '27's shipped out I never got any tracking info sent to me until 3 days after they had been delivered. Of course USPS was holding them at the post office because they couldn't find my apartment...
