    Superdenim community sale thread

Parting with my remaining OA Cossack jackets (olive has already been sold), they just aren't quite my style. I don't think I've worn either other these more than twice, I'd like $375 for each shipped in the US (original MSRP $425). If you'd like both we can work out a deal. Message me for international inquiries. Both are size 44 and measure as follows. Chest: 24 in. Shoulders: 21.5 in.Sleeves: 26 in.Length: 25 in.

@shredwin_206 they're definitely slim, but compared to other slim cuts I've tried (and subsequently sold) the taper is a lot more proportional.

Something a little different for the collection courtesy of @lee porter, FW 661ZXX. These are slimmer than what I normally wear, but they fit quite nicely. Length is just right to wear these without a cuff. This is actually my first pair of zippered repro jeans. Feels weird after wearing button fly repros for the last 10 years. They'll be nice to wear with sneakers in the summer. I'll try to get some fit pics up soon.

    Show Us Around Your Neighbourhood

Hey @fre-co I'll drop you a DM with suggestions. Right now COVID is hitting the city pretty hard, we're in stage 5 (highest level) so a lot of things are temporarily closed... Hopefully by then we get past this peak, would be up to grab a beer somewhere depending on when you're in town. Anything you're interested in doing specifically? I know a lot of good breweries and restaurants.

    Warehouse

Took a look through the catalog this morning and not much is really grabbing my attention. At least not enough to preorder. The 1003XX 1941 model is nice, but pretty similar to the 1936 model I picked up recently. Same goes for the S1003XX 1942, I've got enough war-era models to tide me over. I do love that they're no longer stitching down the tabs. Like Doc said I'm also in a position where I've got enough to last me a lifetime.

If the Doc doesn't take 'em off your hands I will.

I'd spring for them but I have a pair headed my way soon enough.

@JMS there were a few pairs made, but they never were officially sold as far as I know. I think a few made it out into the wild, there was a tour pair floating around on DB.

    Unknown Japanese Brands

Hickorees was a great shop, maybe a little ahead of their time. My understanding is that it was The Hillside guys' shop. They also carried Freewheelers, Tender and Dubbleworks to name a few.

@shredwin_206 I'm no sir Duke but I'm happy to oblige. S601XX (right) worn for about 6/7 months, compared with my 601xx 1943s (left) which haven't been worn much. The 1943s were a more limited release, but I feel like the denim is more similar to the mainline 1947 and 1951.

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

6 in. hem or smaller only, minimum 35 oz., anything wider/lighter will be immediately disqualified.

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

This is the best advice. At the end of the day I'm just trying to justify a purchase for an alternative use. No one gives a toss about what I look like on that day after all!

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

I'm not set on it by any means, I was just trying to buy something that I might actually wear again. Rental might be the best option if I go traditional. I think they have other pants that don't have all those buttons up the hem. And I wouldn't go for the vest I don't think.

I mean the Jackson suit isn't that over the top in my opinion. I just would actually wear the jacket in a causal setting as well. Not considering any of their more attention seeking offerings. Now this might raise some eyebrows. Thanks Maynard!

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

Thanks 00, I'm pretty sure I wore one of my dad's suits for prom...I've always been a big guy. Appreciate the feedback provided, DA seems like another good option. Might do some shopping locally, we used to have a nice local shop offering suiting but I think they closed a few years back. Only people in Austin that wear suits are government employees and lawyers. Of which I am neither. Don't need anything incredibly over the top, still hunting for something FW as I feel like I'd be more apt to wear it again. Jackson suit perhaps?

Not entirely denim related, but does anyone have recommendations / suggestions for suiting brands? I'm starting to look for a suit for my wedding in October and I know little to nothing about formal attire. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm trying to see if FW might have something in the pipeline but want to browse around as well. Orgueil seems to have some nice offerings.

The Sneakers we wear with our jeans

Finally caved and bought some dad shoes. Not expecting to be a dad or anything, but I'm preparing.

Sooner or later the bigger fish will bite, just takes a little time sometimes. But in this situation (the Roy’s for almost a grand) I don’t think there’s a market for that. If I ever sold any of my pairs (which I don’t think I ever will) I would only list them for a small percentage over MSRP depending on the state of them. I think this is roughly a 300% markup.

Super accurate, I just had a guy message me about an old jacket I have for sale that’s listed for 90 bucks. He said “bro can you please drop this to $40?” Yeah sure, after fees and shipping I’ll take the 25 dollar sale.

    WAYWT 2021 [denim edition]

@goodrain I only get to wear it a few times a year at home, really came in handy during the Snowpocalypse earlier this year. It's not great for traveling with, we took this trip with only carry-on luggage and it's super bulky. Had to wear it through the airport which wasn't ideal. More pockets would've been nice, but it's my warmest jacket and I thought I was going to need it. If I lived somewhere colder I'd probably get something a bit more technical / practical.

    WAYWT 2021 [denim edition]

Happy holidays and all that! Just returned from Chicago and it wasn't that cold at all except for one day. The deck jacket was a bit too warm most days actually... Mister Freedom deck jacket. Freewheelers sweat, jeans and watch cap. Blundstone.

    Freewheelers, Bootleggers Reunion, Bubo, etc.

Hammersmith. Special heavy weight Power-wear sweat, this one came in a little big big so I gave it a warm wash. Shrunk up nicely, I have a t-shirt on underneath in this photo. Some of the nicest sweat material I've handled, and that's compared to RMC, SG, WH, Stevenson, etc.

Yup that's the one! I'll try and get some fit pics of it, initial impressions are very good. Nice fluffy flannel and lovely buttons, fits great. FW seem my Goldilocks when it comes to shirting.
