Great! We drove down to Port Aransas last weekend for a day trip, probably the furthest stretch I've taken it on so far besides going to Houston to visit my wife's family. I still get some mild range anxiety whenever I'm having to rely solely on public charging, but now that I have a NACS adapter that's a bit less of a concern. I'd love to take it on a longer road trip but that's not so easy with the little one. Could definitely see myself sticking with electric going forward. Here's a photo dump. Been pretty busy lately hence the absence from posting, but outside of dad duties I landed a new (fully remote!) job. This was a huge boost for my mental health, I really started hating my old role. Only was there for a year but I can safely say it was the worst job I've ever had. New company flew me up to Philly last week, wasn't there long but really enjoyed it. Never visited before but seems like I'll be back every quarter so I look forward to exploring more of it. Had my mom in for mother's day, been playing a bunch of golf lately. Saw a cool kei truck and some black bellied whistling ducks, and of course I've had some pizza. I'll work on getting some photos dedicated photos of the jeans soon, really enjoying them!

@beautiful_FrEaK got it, wasn't sure if you had pulled any loose original stitching through the back of the jeans or not. Looks good!

@beautiful_FrEaK I just noticed the stitching on my pair starting to loosen up in the same spot, how did you go about doing that repair? Just gave my pair another wash, will report back in a couple of days.

@beautiful_FrEaK That new denim looks great, I don't think he's used it for any releases yet. He recently posted about a new line, calling the two models XX grade. I'd say about the same as Converse, maybe half a size smaller. I haven't worn any 70s in a few years, but the last pair I had were 11.5 and the TWC sneakers are size 12. For what it's worth I prefer the fit and feel of the TW sneakers.

I have a difficult time wearing black jeans for whatever reason, I'm sure it's just mental but I can't seem to get past it. I did stop into SE yesterday and I saw the black Boncoura painters pants and the five pocket jeans, those both have a really interesting color / hue to them. If the painters pants didn't have a zipper fly I'd probably give them a shot.

Yes the two pairs of high tops that I have are holding up very well. I haven't been wearing them too much lately since it's getting warmer here and I prefer low tops in the summer. The leather pieces along the back and eyelets is one of my favorite features. I'm always keeping an eye out for any new colors that they release.

I'm not Julian but I'm pretty familiar with crawfish / seafood boils, essentially everything gets thrown into a big pot (usually outdoors) and boiled for a few hours. When everything is done they'll pour it out on a table covered in butcher paper (or news paper) and you can just come by and fill up a plate. It's definitely a southern thing (to my knowledge) and usually used as a good excuse to stand around and drink for a few hours while you hang out.

00 I think some of the pointy-ness can be attributed to the rubber apron running up quite high along the toe box. Just gave them a spin today when going to the barber and they're very comfy. Whoever they're using to produce these in Japan make very nice rubber soles / insoles. I'll give some different lace layouts a try!

Good to get some feedback from our resident Denime expert, I've always thought this would be the case based on the product / fade photos. I still find it strange that WH purchased Denime in the first place, almost like they only wanted to use it as a new sub-line.

Been after these for some time now, finally caught the restock. Timeworn Clothing / Butcher Products deck sneakers, compared to the terrible US Rubber Co. ones I got a few years back these feel great. I really like the sneakers from TWC and appreciate that they make them up to size US12! I like their clothes too but sometimes it's a little too cosplay for me.

@julian-wolf I had no idea you were on What, I was super active on Waffles (and was a mod at one point) and tried being more active on What before the end. Had a very similar experience as yours on Waffles, met a lot of cool people that I still keep in touch with to this day. Formative years online!

@indigoeagle correct, ~32 in. raw. I'll probably go for a pretty gentle initial wash to avoid too much inseam shrinkage.

Possibly, the shop that I purchased from is one of the larger ones that we regularly see on Yahoo. I recently saw a decently priced jacket in size 46, sadly the measurements were a bit small. I'd probably need to go up to 48. There's another jacket up right now in size 46, but it's listed for 100k¥.

Thanks! I believe all of his models are listed as "S01XX", so I don't think it really is a tell either way. The denim is pretty dark, here's another photo on a different, lighter background.

I mentioned recently that I had found a pair of jeans unexpectedly on Yahoo, they arrived last week: Slash Overalls S01XX. I've been a big fan of his work since I've been following him online for a few years, even bothering him via DM and email asking if he'd accept an international order. He's not set up to accommodate international orders yet, but maybe he'll be able to someday. Going through a normal proxy isn't viable since his jeans and jackets seem to sell out very quickly. So I was surprised to see these in BNWT state (you can see some residual chalk markings from where he was putting them together), unwashed and in my size for under retail! Honestly I debated posting photos of these, he's very opposed to resellers (there's a post on his blog about it), even banning anyone from purchasing again if he tracks down the serial number and ties it back to the original order. So hopefully I'm not shaking the hornets nets. It's hard to figure out what exactly these are (since he doesn't disclose the serial numbers), but I'm guessing they're a late 40s inspired pair. They even have a similar wonky stitch across the coin pocket similar to the recent SC45s. The denim is nice and hearty, and the stitching is pretty interesting. I'll need to get a better photo of the crotch construction, it's pretty interesting. The enamel coating on the buttons is pretty intense, even compared to FW. The backs of the buttons are also slightly indented along the top and bottom, hard to photograph but just an interesting observation. I'll probably keep these raw for awhile since I'm focusing on wearing other pairs pretty consistently right now, but it's nice to find something that I thought was unobtainable.
