  1. I personally don't think I would size up in FW as well, the seat area is already pretty baggy. Can't imagine how big they'd be in a size up.
  2. I tried a pair of the FN-D111's on yesterday, shocked at how much different they feel compared to old FH jeans. Hardware feels pretty much the same, but the front pockets are actually usable! I really don't need another pair of jeans but they're tempting.
  3. And now we (impatiently) wait for three months. Thanks y'all for organizing this, should be a good time!
  4. @yung_flynn I haven't put much wear into mine yet, but agreed that their faded samples look great. I always see them and think about wearing them, but I've been trying to stay more focused to one pair at a time lately.
  5. Where do I get my commission?

Nice pocket bags, and looks like they adjusted the cut slightly (at least on the larger sizes. Waist is a touch smaller, thighs are bigger and rise is significantly lower. Admittedly I couldn't stand the fit of the S40s contest jeans, so it's nice to see some revisions.
  7. @Alec Leamas I think they're a solid option, they feel quite hefty too compared to Blundstones. I do like Lofgren's boots (plus they fit my feet quite well) but I feel like the prices have gone a little crazy in recent times. Not as bad as Viberg but they're in the same stratosphere. You could also check out the Rolling Dub Trio Stan, they're a chunky Chelsea boot and are still decently priced from Japan.
  8. @Alec Leamas also worth looking at the Paraboot Elevage, I have a pair they did a few years back in collaboration with Arpenteur made from a nice oiled nubuck. I wear Blundstones quite frequently but when I want to wear something a bit nicer I'll put them on, and they're noticeably cheaper than the JL chelsea boots.
  9. Hey now, I'll have you know in '23 I only bought one pair of jeans, so far in '24 I've purchased 4 (including the WoM contest it'll be 5). A few years ago I would've done that over the course of a month or two.
  10. Reminds me of myself a few years back.
  11. I think modern internet communities are missing out by shutting down anything deemed "dissent" immediately. Without it you just become a massive echo chamber. From my perspective as long as you aren't going over the top and personally attacking someone then it's fine in my book. But hey if you need to go somewhere and be told that the Onis that you're busting out of look great then sure, whatever floats your boat. I won't waste my time with it personally. I check that sub out once in a blue moon just to remind myself that I'm not missing out on anything.
  12. For what it's worth I never analyze measurements this much, I was just bored at the end of the day and thought "hey I can figure this out". You'd be amazed at the seemingly inane metrics they track at my job...
  13. Going with the 411S model in size 38 (same size as my OAs). Pocket bags look great, I'm glad I mentioned this '42 concept early on.
  14. @fabes great minds think alike, I was doing the same with @reallypeacedoff’s measurements and then trying to compare them with my OA WW2 pair. This was slapped together at the end of the work day so I haven’t checked my work.
  15. Do we have shrinkage estimations? I've seen a couple posts but it would be nice to have somewhat of a consensus (even if we're guessing) on how shrink impacts each measurement.
  16. All sounds good to me, I'll drop y'all a DM soon once I decide on the sizing. Definitely will be the 411S model for me, looking forward to it. Also interested to see what the patch will look like!
  17. To be fair I was kind of voluntold to be a mod there with zero inside info as to what was actually happening.
  18. Starting to develop some decent contrast on the WWII jeans. Pictured here with a belt made by our very own Sir Duke.
  19. I guess that's what Ono-san has been up to for the last few months.
  20. Hell, I'd been considering buying the vest and I'm not a vest guy...so if I can try the denim out via another medium I will.
  21. Seconding Julian, FW sweats are my favorite in both the heavy weight and medium weight weaves.
