I guess I'll cancel my trip then. 😉

I got as many brands as I could find saved on Google Maps, wondering what shops have multiple brands I may have missed. The Self Edge's of Japan? Hinoya or similar. I was hoping Bears had a brick-and-mortar, but it doesn't appear to. I see Resolute has had some pop-ups as of late, hopefully, one near me during my stay there.

Bears definitely has a brick&mortar shop

You are right BF, I found it here.

Regarding specificity, what place in Tokyo shouldn't be missed? It could be a bar, a restaurant, a park/shrine, an onsen (tattoo-friendly), a tour, etc.

I have been before, and so have a bunch of my friends, so I have about 350 spots on Google Maps, but with only 11 days there, trying to parse out the most worthwhile, and even add a few more. I'm hoping someone has a Wagyu teppanyaki spot they recommend too.

Moch in Harajuku is my favourite bar in the world! Huge whisky and bourbon selection.

Be careful though I spent hundreds of pounds in there on more than 1 occasion....

My cuffed hems trousers are puckering on a few places around the hem, probably cause by not enough pressing before tacking the cuff. can it be fix by a cheap cordless iron?

It's likely caused by what Julian Wolf mentions above. However if you can stretch the fabric, while using the steam setting from the iron, it might hold enough to fix the issue.

I've seen the diy repair thread, but is there a thread for people to share homemade jeans? I want to make a pair in the future and would like some inspiration.

@kiya hey!..

I bought this yoyo back in 2007 maybe 2008.. .. without a thought towards it ever becoming collectable

fullsizeoutput_3cee.thumb.jpeg.92dc9334cd895d65fda3b072abc11a14.jpeg

..we had a strong pound back in those days, we were getting almost $2 to the £ so it would have cost me peanuts to import this^ from the US.

It's been carefully looked after (no dings) but I haven't thrown it for 10yrs+ .. it's always been kept in the carton so the carton isn't exactly in perfect condition due to me taking it out/in.

I spotted this website https://yoyo.collectionhero.com/outer/gallery_listings.php?keyword=crucial+yoyo

According to this^ they've sold on ebay back in 2022 for $300+ and frankly i'd rather have $300 than something i've just found in a drawer but im clueless regarding the buoyancy of the US yo market...

.. If i was to auction this^ on (worldwide) ebay through GSP starting at lets say $10.. would i be guaranteed a sale price close to the above mentioned or would you recommend listing it for $300 with offers? .. if it could sell for $50 .. i'll chuck it back in the drawer :)

The UK market is limited at best..

Great LEGO collection ReallyPeacedOff, I (or my brothers!) owned a few of those same ones myself! I miss the 90s golden age of LEGO before they sold out into primarily making licensed stuff...

Our born-in-the-80s/Gen Y contingent seems to be almost comically bewitched by nostalgia, so a lot of stuff from the 80s and 90s - 8 and 16-bit game consoles/games, toys, other entertainment stuff, can be worth a lot in decent condition.

oh wow. my kids were playing with my old legos today. I still have the plastic lego container and we still have my younger brother's duplo duffle bag from the mid 90s. unfortunately I dont think I have all the pieces anymore to any of the sets...not that I would really care to sell them at this point.

I don't know if this is a dumb question but is there such a thing as a proxy from Japan that's not just buying from a proxy service that just uses Rakuten, Yahoo Auctions, etc.? I want to buy a (sold out in NA) sweat from the RMC shop in Nagoya and they don't ship overseas.

There had been some question about oxford shirts.

Workers has a preorder on, I think, for what looks like solid, classical oxford shirts.
Supima cotton white

Chambray

There is also a Cat Day coverall:
