My girlfriend is in a wheelchair and until I met her I had no idea how many hoops they make you go through for wheelchair repairs. Like why do you need a doctor's prescription for a replacement bolt?? Hope you get your chair back soon! Anyway, here's today's fit. Oshkosh and Champion from yesterday, TCB 50s, Vans.

Thank you, I'll make sure to post pictures once it's furnished in a couple months! We got lucky finding a place $75,000 less than our budget which feels feels great.

(Please excuse the lack of legs, they were removed and stored in drawers for transportation. Also mirror is not pictured but it was included.) My girlfriend and I put an offer on a house a few weeks ago that didn't get accepted, but in a weird small world coincidence it turned out that the seller was one of my college professors who I've kept somewhat in touch with professionally. Since it was his father's house which he inherited, and he was just trying to clear it out I reached out to him to see if he was interested in some extra cash for some of the furniture. There was a bunch of furniture that we loved, but this Johnson Carper set stuck out in particular. He wasn't interested in selling, he just wanted it gone and was happy to give it to us for free. I don't know much about mcm resale value, but I gotta imagine this set could easily sell for at least $700 or so. We just had an offer accepted yesterday, so hopefully everything looks good after inspections and this stuff doesn't have to live in my parents' dining room to long. Bedside table, tallboy, lowboy with mirror, and headboard. Also got a cool hanging wall lamp that I don't have a good picture of.

Been searching for a pair of vintage OG-107s that are long enough for my legs and finally found a pair about a week and a half ago. Made in 1977, still has the button fly which I wanted, and got that nice n slubby sateen. Jacket is Oshkosh, hoodie Champion RW, boots Blundstones

Those look great @Mr Black! Certainly better than I'll ever do. What machine are you using?

The Dispossessed is one of the greatest books ever. UKLG is my favorite author, and the whole Hainish Cycle is wonderful. That cover art is so good. Been reading some Chandler too lately, but the Lady in the Lake is still on my TBR list. Picked up a couple older editions of some of his books at a used bookstore I like near me.

Never heard him before. Listened to some of his stuff after seeing your post the other day and I really dig it. Thanks for sharing. I saw this on ig just now. These dudes look cool as hell.

About 10 months in homemade jeans and they finally required some crotch repairs which is pretty much par for the course for my thighs. One thing I like about black jeans is how subtle repairs tend to be in comparison to indigo. Not that I don't like visible repairs in my indigo jeans, just a nice change of pace to keep things more work appropriate as they break down.

Not a coffee nerd but my brother is and after I expressed a tiny bit of interest in fancy coffee he went and bought me an aeropress for Christmas so now I gotta learn how to use this thing lol. Afraid I might become one of you guys.

Thought that might be poplar. Very underrated wood imo, has some really unique colors, is easy to machine, and is pretty damn cheap too. Needed some hardwood for a guitar amp and speaker cabinet i built and settled on poplar since it was when lumber was ridiculously expensive. Was very pleased with how it turned out.

They're printing fades now. I appreciate the concept and think it's real clever, but I also think it's silly at the same time. Edit: this is also probably suitable for the ugliest jeans thread lol

I did miss your cheeseburger comment, but I can also recognize that your comments are playful and not intended to offend. But yeah, borders don't make someone inherently more intelligent like some Europeans would have us believe.

I really appreciate the way you put this. I'm not going to go and say that there's nothing wrong with southerners' mindsets, but no one is perfect, and if you look at things with historical perspective you can start to see how things pass through generations and are taken as a fact of life. I think it's unfair sometimes the way some Europeans (not any of you Euros in this thread btw, you all seem lovely) bash Americans as being less civilized and evolved. I'm not even patriotic, but it bothers me when I see people talking about stupid Americans as if Europe is this perfect continent that has no problems of its own. They act like since they don't eat cheeseburgers that they are better than us. There are problems everywhere and to put those problems on the population as a whole is so unfair because of how complex and multifaceted societies are.

People wax poetic about jeans holding stories and memories and blah blah blah, but you need people in your life to make those memories in the first place
