    what are you watching today?

i saw blood of wolves here at the canberra japan film festival and thought it was super weak despite the strong reviews (plus i love alot of the cast - shimada!)

    Bryceland’s tokyo and hongkong

the absurd prices aren't surprising considering their target audience: the styleforum 'classic' crowd (lots of dude in finance etc) eat this shit up.

    Watches and Denim

never been a fan of the jubilee unless its on a super dressy watch. would look so much better on anything else (oyster, nato, even rubber) imo.

do any taller dudes own this? https://tcbjeans.stores.jp/items/5a33eb6bc8f22c477d000104 i'm hesitant because i'm 6'1 and worry that it will be super cropped and/or the arms will be too long. tossing up between a 38 and a 40...

ordering from you now. looking forward to the mythical 30" inseam!

calling dsptch out is weak. they are one of the very few 'tech' brands (perhaps the only one) that doesn't charge rape prices.

that's really weird. the only thing i can think of is i have a dud, or they do occasionally make pairs with a longer inseam for the western market? perhaps i should return these and order from you.

so i received an interesting reply from the retailer... We have a feeling their may have been a little media activity around the brand last week as quite a few pairs of the 107”s were despatched and we are now currently oversold in this style. Our earlier deliveries of the 107 did have a shorter leg length. Our most recent deliveries (18 months) have been featuring a longer leg length. We have a delivery leaving Japan this coming week but cannot confirm leg length on these until they arrive. Purchasing by leg length is not an option with Orslow, and all styles are delivered in their standard leg length. I have a feeling that the Orslow provided measurements you included relate to these earlier deliveries.

it's all good, perhaps my pair are an anomaly - i loved how i never needed to hem orslows, but i'm not gonna return them just because of the inseam.

nope, one year. oi polloi says the inseam is 32", my pair is 33". most others say 30-31".

so my size 3 came, but the inseam seems waaaaaay longer. i only cuffed once with the size 2 (i'm 6'1) but need to cuff 3-4x with these size 3s. edit: there is no way in hell the inseam on this is 30.75".

crotch blew out on my 107s after 18mths and i've definitely put on weight this year. just ordered another pair but in a size bigger, i think they're the perfect jean for me.

went to sydney and ate at: - sokyo. - sagra. - mr. wong. all fantastic and highly recommended. also got vol 1 of beams at home from kinokuniya which i've wanted for a while. on the topic of design, muji is opening in canberra this week. naoto fukasawa is giving a 'presentation' which i've booked tickets for ($2 or something) during the first few days, i'm curious as to what it'll be like.
