What are JP shops for Orslow items? I'm looking for a hat from the past season and it seems sold out in all the Western shops I'm looking at. Thank you.

I found this detail interesting too.
No idea if it means anything or not when it comes to upcoming product, but interesting none the less.

I’ve got a feeling Sushi has a hand in this … there’s also a special Stay Brave sweat

On the Full Count chinos, how does sizing compare to the 0105? Is it like for like?

No! They run smaller. It's weird. I wear a 30 in the 0105 with room to spare in the waist, and the 32 in the chinos fits a bit similarly, if slightly looser. That said, after that the cut is rather similar. Measurements at Bears are pretty accurate from what I found.

@willi On glasses, sorry it’s a bit late but check out Julius Tart Optical (the Japanese one).

Thanks for this... a lot of love for these here and also seen a few pics of you all looking good wearing them. I'll try to check them out. And I was wondering about the separate US and JP brands.

I didn’t even realise they existed! Somehow missed those when filtering by chino at my favourite retailers…

Good to hear they’re likely what I’m looking for, thanks!

@FurnitureMaker

Thanks for the Jelado link, I love their corduroy pants so if those are anything to go by the chinos are probably great too.

There is a chinos thread here.

Do any of you good people have experience with the Alden 379x / Military last?

Yeah mate I have a pair of these I got a few years ago (with Austin's kind help) which have the 379x military last.  Nice shoes, nice last... In fact, you reminded me so I might even wear them tomorrow.  What have you got your eyes on?

Oh they’re lovely! Do you have any comparison to other Alden lasts sizing wise? It appears the common wisdom is to go the same as your Barrie last size..

There’s a nice pair of the Kafka Mercantile make up of the military derby going for a great price on eBay.. I’m virtually there I was just gathering a few more notes on the sizing! Ha

Would any kind Americans with a Discogs account be prepared to buy 4 or 5 CDs on my behalf, bundle them into a single package and ship them over to the UK?

If no one else has stepped up, yes I can do that.

Sadly I don't mate. Only pair of Aldens I have. Brogue advised same size as a pair of Viberg oxford shoes (whose last escapes me atm).

I’m also down for this assignment if CSL is preoccupied.

I’m sure they still have all the ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ series on UK Discogs Neal.

We were sat in the dentist waiting room yesterday and Whitney came on the radio, Sarah said “I used to love this album when I was a kid” I said “this was the first track on Now That’s What I Call Music 1987”

Kid was shaking his head and said “your music knowledge is ridiculous, I can ask you anything re- 90s rap.. yet you still know the track list from Now87”

Same :(

I gave away my entire collection which was mostly 90s punk and hip hop with some later electronic stuff sprinkled in. I ripped it all before I put it on a website called freecycle and an excited teenager came in a beat up el Camino to take it all. I think I made that gen z’ers day.
sometimes I miss it but made a decision that photography books would be my primary physical collection - just didn’t have room for both.
