  1. 100% I couldn't agree more about this! Glad the 1001XX worked out!!
  2. @LoneWolfWelding Ouch! Sorry to hear about your leg, but I guess yeah you're right in the long run you're doing great, and injuries caught doing the things we love are the best injuries right? Scars of a life well lived. Couple things - amazing dog, the jeans will have some crazy fade pattern after this, and....cold toes no!?!?!
  3. Welcome @Randori! Great shout on the 220A, once you're into them get them shared on here!
  4. (once that first hot wash is done I wouldn't say anything crazy happens, just you will probably notice the odd cm in the inseam now and again with additional washes - it was most striking for me in the DD-1947's, but it's also happening in my 1001XX-25's, which I purchased raw)
  5. Ahh man, never mind, at least with Hinoya there is a reduced risk of being stung with import charges! So for the banner denim, the bulk of the shrinkage will come out in a first hot wash - it will then continue to shrink over a number of washes - couldn't say how many but they do tend to keep going for the first 5 or so at least! One of the best fabrics out there IMO, up there with Full Counts current standard denim for me.
  6. Okay thank you for the summary! I won't be doing that - I'll just keenly refresh warehouse, take-off, union and celluloid from now until they appear somewhere! 😂
  7. @jkbrwn this whole look is absolutely spot on, by the way!!
  8. I can’t see any information anywhere on when these will be available to buy - have you guys seen anything? EDIT: There may be date info on Bears IG but as I don't have an account I can't expand the caption! I'm not just being mega lazy!
  9. It's a lovely pair that mate! I was after that before I found the older S1003XX, to be honest, I'm still after a pair. Never had the flannel pocket bags before. The hem obsession is real, and in fact, I'm proud of it 😂
  10. Yes, very well, you'll no doubt be able to see that on my 47's in previous pages here!
  11. I don’t know what wash number this was (perhaps 5 or 6) but couldn’t resist a few shots in the breezy back garden seeing as it’s so spring-like out today. Varying light conditions but tried to capture the colour as realistically as I could, the real colour lies somewhere between the light and dark ones ha. I love these jeans.
  12. She's beautiful. We have the same, Fox Red Lab girl - ours is 9 years old, soon to be 10, and still acting and looking like a cheeky puppy, long may that continue!!
  13. Welcome @pla! Looks right to me! Those Samurai heavy chinos caught my attention a few times, great fit on yours there
  14. Thanks 😳 I did try and find it on the images, honest!
  15. iPhone doing some creepy stuff with lighting but back in the 5150’s today and oh so comfy!
  16. Oh brilliant! Would you mind sharing the ISBN please?
  17. I can't access that link, is it the War Denim book??
  18. Yeah I'd say you're good to go with that, you can always add a cm on if you're unsure, I sometimes do with a new fabric, shrinking is always easier than stretching!
  19. @OutSider - were they bought one washed by Full Count? If so, I bought my 0105 hemmed by them at 72cm, I coincidentally measured the inseam last night and it's pretty much bang on 72cm still - after having a few more washes and I think a turn in the drier. I think their washing process is fairly thorough!
  20. S1003XX hemmed, washed again, and tried on. Yeah, I like these. Still mystery around what the fabric is - even wondered whether it was the same as the Signet x Warehouse contest jeans fabric. That was said to be a WW2 fabric, and had the same mustard selvedge id.
  21. No joke this has happened to me too. Horrific experience.
