I had missed this update and had just come to ask about it, so thank you! Exciting delivery week! This is a great idea and I had been considering doing something similar, I like the purity of it. I certainly won't be WEARING any other jeans, but I'm wondering if I can not BUY any for 18 months too - there are a few specific pairs I know I'll struggle to resist over 2025 & beyond. At the very least I want my WOMCON jeans to be a reminder to be much more mindful about purchasing. -
Absolutely no worries at all you're welcome! Fingers crossed for you on the TCB 30's!

@Thicolas Rage I think they looked great, but a bit snug. Too snug in the thigh's a dealbreaker of course. From that first photo the waist looks to have been a bit tight so it might be worthwhile you considering a couple of sizes up (at least!) to get the thigh room you need. Hard to tell from photos but you appear to have relatively similar body shape / size to me and I go for 32 + in FC, to get a comfortable top block fit - I can reliably toss them in the drier to keep the waist held where I need it, and as there's less pressure on the waist I don't really get too much stretch there. It's all a learning curve man, but I've certainly found that I cannot go by waist alone, it has to be thigh measurement first, then rise, then waist, that order of priority. I use that method with any brand - and there's still variation on that too - it's the sweet spot I look for where the thigh is big enough, then the rise is high enough to allow that thigh measurement to sit correctly, then is the waist okay and not going to look mad. Thankfully my 0105 hit that, as have most W34 Warehouse pairs I own. I did actually find when ordering my 0105 from FC that they contacted me to tell me the specific measurements of the pair they were sending me, which was helpful, the only variance they noted was the waist, everything else was fine.

That’s correct yes, they’re more straight down from the knee, the 47’s have more of a taper. They are indeed made of the exact same fabric yes! Missed your initial mention of the WW2 pair sorry, from looking at the Denime chart a few pages back it does look as though they will be made of a different fabric. I’m keen on picking those up as well, though they won’t get any wear for ~18 months or so, depending on when they are produced! I sized the same in both, the waist is a few cm bigger in the 54’s but with the rest of the measurements coming in similar I went with the same size, and it worked out just right. As said, the waist is slightly bigger. The rises are marginally lower, the thigh is marginally wider, then there’s less taper from the knee down.

Hi there! Great to have you here! I have both the 47 and 54 cut in the new banner denim, my 47’s got a few months wear and have some fade character. The 54’s I started wearing on Christmas Eve so are still very new. Denim is lovely though. I’m planning on sharing some photos of the faded and the new side by side soon! I don’t believe any proper faded images have been shared anywhere. I suppose that’s because it’s so new! I highly recommend either cut in the denim, by the way!
-
@aho frankly me neither! - they've now fallen out of favour due to the new addition of the 54 cut. The denim used for both cuts is fantastic.

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

Guilty as charged! -
Few shots of the 220XX-54. Pardon the mud splashes had just got back from a dog walk on these! These fit great, there's something about this fabric that I love too. It's nothing above and beyond what Warehouse usually roll out, but there's a character to it that just sits right. It's less rough and textured than the WH banner denim, and it's thicker than dead stock blue which I find to be a touch toooo thin. I'll take some pics laid flat and alongside the worn in 47's for comparison at some point soon.

Sober here too! Going on 2.5 years now! Mad respect for anyone else taking that plunge. As above, I never considered myself to be a problematic drinker, though some of those close to me were, and I could see myself going that way. It also brought me nothing positive when I looked at it objectively and with young children around I did not need the hangovers and associated physical and psychological symptoms. I've occasionally tasted the odd bit, but am always overwhelmed at booze just tasting like, well, booze. It's fairly disgusting. I have a really great alcohol free beer shop near to me that keeps me stocked up on unnecessary expensive drinks for now. -

Literally started wearing another new Denime pair yesterday, they’re going to get scant attention once these WOMCON jeans arrive. Excited for it!! -
Just wanted to drop a note here to say my 220XX-54 finally arrived back, hemmed, on Christmas Eve. What a touching way to end a hilarious saga 😀 Ive learnt my lesson. I love the jeans though and I’m glad i pushed on stubbornly. I’ll post some pics and details soon. Too full of cake and cheese at the minute. They are featured over on waywt but not very clearly!

Word of Mouth - The Crust & Fades Contest

Just been having a look for some sort of shareable map on which we could all drop a pin on roughly where we are, to show how far and wide Simone's jeans are going (tbf I am assuming it's all Europe and US, but may be wrong) - does anyone have any ideas on what we could use? I couldn't find anything that I didn't need to log in to -

Have we considered any rules around the start of the contest? I would have assumed wearing is a no go until the official start date (except trying on raw?) but what about washing pre-start date? what usually happens? -
