  1. Yes, very well, you'll no doubt be able to see that on my 47's in previous pages here!
  2. I don’t know what wash number this was (perhaps 5 or 6) but couldn’t resist a few shots in the breezy back garden seeing as it’s so spring-like out today. Varying light conditions but tried to capture the colour as realistically as I could, the real colour lies somewhere between the light and dark ones ha. I love these jeans.
  3. She's beautiful. We have the same, Fox Red Lab girl - ours is 9 years old, soon to be 10, and still acting and looking like a cheeky puppy, long may that continue!!
  4. Welcome @pla! Looks right to me! Those Samurai heavy chinos caught my attention a few times, great fit on yours there
  5. Thanks 😳 I did try and find it on the images, honest!
  6. iPhone doing some creepy stuff with lighting but back in the 5150’s today and oh so comfy!
  7. Oh brilliant! Would you mind sharing the ISBN please?
  8. I can't access that link, is it the War Denim book??
  9. Yeah I'd say you're good to go with that, you can always add a cm on if you're unsure, I sometimes do with a new fabric, shrinking is always easier than stretching!
  10. @OutSider - were they bought one washed by Full Count? If so, I bought my 0105 hemmed by them at 72cm, I coincidentally measured the inseam last night and it's pretty much bang on 72cm still - after having a few more washes and I think a turn in the drier. I think their washing process is fairly thorough!
  11. S1003XX hemmed, washed again, and tried on. Yeah, I like these. Still mystery around what the fabric is - even wondered whether it was the same as the Signet x Warehouse contest jeans fabric. That was said to be a WW2 fabric, and had the same mustard selvedge id.
  12. No joke this has happened to me too. Horrific experience.
  13. Nice! Picking some of these up has crossed my mind again a few times. Love the hair-on patch!
  14. It has crossed my mind whether the fact the jeans have been made by a Western maker, means they therefore fit a Western frame that bit more cleanly than our beloved Japan made jeans. I know Simone had guidance from a Japanese mill or jeans maker (?) but still, there must naturally be a Western influence in the cuts of course!
  15. Not my full count size dude but had they been that UK option is a very tempting deal!! Hope you get shot of these!!
  16. Absolutely agree with this, great way to put it
  17. Hi @CharlieMike, I went with my normal WH size for mine, so I would suggest 32 for you too!
  18. @MJF9 the moody staring out to sea shot is a good one! Agree on Filey being a shithole too! Haha. Bit of gardening and light groundworks in mine today. Absolutely filthy by the time I’d finished so their usual Sunday wash was brought forward a day. Genuinely felt like spring today!
  19. Yeah - I will ask actually. If I get any sort of response I'll share here! Unwashed those S1001XX are looking more similar to mine, the patches are the same material too that's for sure, and had a look at the care tag on my 1001XX-25 and it's got blue text too, so probably all from around the same time!
  20. That denim does look more like banner to me - I've also considered the fact that I perhaps didn't give it quite enough time in the wash / water temp to liven it up. I wonder what response I would get if I just went direct to Warehouse and asked them - has anyone tried anything like that before? I had the whole Denime hemming issue back and forth end of last year but that was more a practical matter than a denim nerdery investigation
  21. @winteracr this was in November, I'd bought them mid-August. I have no doubt the 54's will go the same way. I'm a bit spoilt for choice now and also prioritising the WMJ's most days but I will no doubt put some wear into the 54's through spring and summer. @nick682 I believe also picked up both cuts, and may have more info for you
  22. Hi @winteracr - I didn't get very far with the 54's before the Word of Mouth contest started, though the 47's came up beautifully very quickly before that. I think they could easily reach a similar level as the 220A's in a similar timeframe! The caveat being that with a slightly lighter fabric you may not get as tight/sharp creasing, and there's also the hint of brown in the weft to factor in - which actually I feel gave the faded areas a really nice warmth.
  23. @blooming - this section of the denime chart from a little while back says there are the same fabric.... Though of course @beautiful_FrEaK may have the definitive answer!
  24. @olmecasteve - that older pair is looking amazing!! Are both of these the same size??
