'47 cut with natural indigo denim and Kakishibu dyed pocket bags and back pocket lining. With red tab and the Sugar cane broken arcs.

I bought them off from someone here ;)

Hey, b_F - no, I do not but every time I see the 40200 or 40400 or any of the SCn posted, I get the itch! I expect yours are size 34 so whenever you decide to unload them, I'm ready :). Again, nice find and perfect fit.

Thx guys! lance, as you are an AI-denim lover: do you own a pair too?

Love that fit b_F -- as nice as anything I've seen on you!  Rise looks high with a nice, even drape.  Great pick-up.

I'm not a Sugar Cane expert by any means and assume this is a limited edition.  Is the cut at all similar to the current SC 1947?

Yep, that's the 1947 cut: stovepipe legs and reasonably fitted in the hips compared to a 1950s cut. I'm not going to encourage you to buy more jeans 'cause I think you have enough to be getting on with, but the 1947 is a seriously good jean and one I think you would dig given your other choices.

I think the clue is in the original post! ;)

Since the SugarCane AI-Denim line (SC40200, SC40300, SC40400, SC40500 and SC40600) are discontinued for 5 years or so, you could call them "limited edition".

As the other helpful members already told you, they are the '47 cut. But as the denim differs, my pair might end up looking differently to the standard SC 1947 :)

Since the Buzz thread is pretty dead (and because these somehow haven't sold yet), I figure it's worth posting these here. I'm selling two chambrays, in blue and in white, for $65 shipped apiece--or $127 shipped for the pair (mention this thread for those prices).

EDIT: BLUE CHAMBRAY HAS SOLD

Same denim as your 1947.

There's no repro company that offers better value for money than Sugar Cane.

This is a true story.

im starting to think that the SC Oki's are my favorite jean ever.  The cut is fantastic, the pocket bags and back pocket lining are a really nice addition that you dont see that often.  The denim tho, is great.  Its slubby, has tons of texture and just feels nice.  The only minor thing I would possibly want is a donut  style button.  I always wanted a pair of SC's, but these really took me by surprise.  maybe im 6 years late to the party!
