Well done and thank you Mod Broark 👍👌👊👋 ... deserves profuse emoji use

PS no deleting the old WAYWT threads please... I occasionally take a look back to yesteryear nostalgically

@MJF9 Perhaps they all need to be collected into a dedicated summary sub-thread... ?

Do you mean put them in a folder but keep them as they are? My vote would be on retaining the threads by year as they are but a folder could work. If there's a need to tidy up for space reasons, there would be other threads to look at first methinks.

Anyone on here have experience with Dehen 1920 cardigans? Fit and sizing, in particular.

I ordered Dehen's cardigan recently. Wow, very much impressed with it. The photos don't convey how solid it is. And yes, very warm it is. Size L works for me, my current rotation denim jackets are 44.

I got my telescope out last night (easy maynard) and looked back to the superdenim-singularity c2005-6

It's amazing how obsessed folks were with wearing their jeans raw, not only that but starching them.. continually starching and wearing raw denim, soaking behind the knees with either liquid starch or a liquid sugar solution, and sitting down till they dried to cultivate their razor sharp creases.. without ever washing *no suitable emoji found*

@superfuture Sorry if this has been already brought up by someone else, but after reading newest post in a subject, underneath you can either click back to the main super denim page or on to the next topic with the newest unread post. Didn't it use to say what the name of the  topic was? Its handy to know that as some topics resonate with me more then others and when on my mobile you have to scroll up and and down to find out what brand you are on. It's no biggie but it's a bit of a time saver.

Looking for a small camera bag. I’ve been using the same nylon lowepro that I got free from a conference almost years ago. Now looking for one preferably waxed canvas or leather.

I’m aware of lots camera bag brands, (domke, think tank, peak design, ona, Bellingham etc). but looking for something that isn’t by one of them. Looking for something made by someone who doesn’t just do camera bags.

Anyone know of any made by the sorts of makers this forum tends to prefer? I see Bleu de Chauffe but they only do leather and it’s a little rich.

I was going to suggest a Filson Medium Field bag.. i used to shove a DSLR in mine for years.. just rattling around loose

https://www.redclaysoul.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Filson-Medium-Field-Camera-Bag-Red-Clay-Soul.jpg

they also do inserts for folks who care a little more

Domke 720-250D Digital SLR Camera Insert

..or depending on camera size.. the small Filson field bag could work

.. there again, i've just seen the prices, Holey Flip! i paid $141 for my Filson in 2009 from this place

..they had next to no internet presence but Filson bags were not that easy to pick up back then in the UK.

Yea Filson stuff is nice enough but I can’t justify the price, plus looking for something I don’t really need to mod (for a few reasons). I’m shooting rangefinders usually so a little smaller but the lenses can be on the more finicky side so the padding is important.

I might hunt the used market for a bit, or maybe just save for the blue de chauffe one since the design is closest to what I want. Or better yet maybe I can find that used.

Check out this lovely old Voigtlander catalogue I’ve had on my bench at work for close to 20yrs.. no date but I think it’s 2004, from the days when I was more interested in photography.

Do you find Filson expensive compared to Bleu de Chauffe because Filson is canvas?

I think BdC bags are fairly expensive for machine stitched non-specified leather (albeit I don’t doubt it’ll be decent quality being veg tan)

It's just all expensive compared to what I'm used to for camera bags, and at some level the price versus utility comparison has to come in to play. Believe it or not I'm pretty thrifty in most things in my life (outside of denim, really, at this point).

I was in a Filson shop not too long ago and I just in general didn't love the offerings for the price. Nice stuff but yeah, wow, spendy.

I won't comment on whether or not they're worth it - that's beyond my knowledge. I did get a BdC canvas duffle last year as a gift that I find to be quite solid. I wish BdC did a canvas camera bag but I'm not seeing it. I may just end up with a Domke. Gonna sit on it for awhile since that 20 yr old bag of mine isn't exactly broken.
