I’ve always been one to button all buttons except the bottom. Just because I find it uncomfortable when crouching for work and when sitting in the car. Having the bottom undone lets it flare out nicely and not bunch up

Just received the Warehouse 1082 Chino in non-wash. 
hate to be that guy….How much will these shrink? 

Lovely Blue-Grey Colour.  Good fit in this state but quite long.

They are. There’s a great photo from TakeOff’s Instagram with a worm and faded pair. They have a sulfur based dye (or summin’) that result in this lovely colour. 

I was looking for something that isn’t a pair of jeans. I have a pair of Gramicci ‘climbing’ trousers in black that are half decent, but the back rise annoys me and the front pockets are set a little too far back. Anyways, I didn’t want a typical khaki pair of chinos so this fits the bill nicely. Great fit on me as well. 
 

They even have some selvage accents where all Pockets facings join. 

Edit: yes, unsanforsihed & unwashed. 

I also Googled the shrinkage and found the answer immediately…1-2cm in the waist and 4-5cm in length. Apologies for that 😉

It's something i usually check before i buy rather than after delivery..

Might be just me (but i'm sure it's not)

I saw you googled but just wanted to give some peace of mind that it’s pretty accurate with my pair. It shrinks enough to hem after wash, but just barely. Seems to be on par with how sanforized jeans can shrink a little.

Ha ha. I’d checked the post wash a while ago. Just couldn’t remember. Really wanted to confirm if I should baby them or just wash as normal. 
 

as a side note; I’d steer clear of purchasing these from Hinoya. I think there’s a better price to be had elsewhere.

I bought 2 pairs 2 years ago. Looks like that’s the best investment I’ve ever made.

50+yr old man , forum user for 10+yrs

wear mostly jeans, sweatshirt, white t shirt

when going out, it’s to a rock n roll show

. Have been seen on a wedding in a Hawaii shirt.

party is my 80th extravagant mother in law. 
she wouldn’t care, but I somehow do

It would be good to have an idea ahead of time as to the level of formality with the dress code.

If no one else is wearing a tie, no reason why you should. So check on that if you can.

My gut instinct, says proper trousers, polished shoes, pressed shirt, sportscoat/suit jacket.

What are the good 17oz wide fit jean options now adays (50s / 40s cut), looking for a winter weight denim. I'll be in Japan in a few weeks and was hoping to pick up then. Love my TCBs but they are a bit too light for winter.

What counts as wide for you? 
from what I see, Oni might have some offerings for you. But I can’t say how they fit as I never wear anything more than 15 oz
