SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)

Just personal opinion but I like the idea of the cinch serving it’s purpose. Certainly belt loops or suspender buttons must also be there for a reason where the use of the former seem the more ubiquitous and the latter more of a style choice (today). The cinch stands out to me though, at least in terms of how it complements the jeans as they age (a recent post in the Freewheelers thread being the perfect testament to that). In reality I don’t have a lot of personal experience with it though.

I love cinches they’re so cool! I don’t know if I’ve ever cinched any of my pants up tight enough to do anything to the fit, but for me that was never the point. Bonus points if your jeans and jacket BOTH have cinches.

I had the same happen with a fairly new pair of LVC 33s, when cinching them real tight. The LVC shop, despite being named Cinch, couldn’t replace it.

Lvc buckles are notoriously weak due to them being pressed steel pieces. Sure that info is buried deep in the lvc thread somewhere. I've busted a couple of lvc buckles but never a Lee buckle, thought they were made of sterner stuff.

I'm sure this has been brought up at some point before, but... anybody ever hand-paint arcs/anything else on their jeans?!

I love the painted arcs on my Flat Head 3003xx, and I could see myself wanting to re-paint/touch them up as they wear away. What kind of paint do you use? Any particular techniques? My wife has a Cricut so it seems like it'd be easy to make a stencil/template at home and just paint that, but I wondered if any of y'all have done something like this recently.

Check the Ooe thread as of today from LazyS

You've got far too much time on your hands.. but well done!

It was a great discussion B)

:D
I think, it was in 19 and 20 that I had taken mostly a hiatus from following the board.
So, some discussions are new to me.

Plus with the "site:" search in ggl it's quite quick to find.

How have people found the service from Takeoff

I’ve been in touch with them about a Cushman sweatshirt.
They were fast to reply and ask for my details, then asked me to wait while they prepare the invoice and that they’d be in contact on Monday. Now nothing. I’ve replied and asked for the invoice, but again nothing.

In my experience this is odd for Japanese retailers.

Any other points of contact I can try?
Thanks

I ordered a sweatshirt from them earlier this year. They took a few days to send an invoice and ship, but I had no issues and my sweatshirt arrived a week or two after ordering

Good service for me. I live in the middle of nowhere and DHL charged him extra on top of the standard DHL shipping cost as I'm out of a standard service area - I think 5000 yen on top of the standard shipping charge, and he felt bad and only asked me to pay half of it - which he really didn't need to do. $236 for two Cushman sweats when Clutch charge $205 for one? Not as fast or easy as Bears but worth it for the stuff Takeoff have.

Same here, a bit slow to respond to emails (sometimes more than a day; really not that slow in reality, but perhaps compared to some other places), but overall shipping/handling was fast.
