I'll probably drop by my store next week for a hem since I've been meaning to. I also think I need a slimmer jean due to the silhouette of my SJ.  My 47s are very wide IMO.  Unlike the sole, it's not particularly a bulky boot. I remember reading a posts from you awhile back about certain denim pairings that work well with different boot styles (engineer, work boot, etc).
