    RESOLUTE by hayashi-san!

For those that like looking at photos, check out this guy's blog http://pipkolabo.blogspot.com/. He hasn't uploaded anything for two years, but if you search for "710" or "711", you can see monthly photos (like 40 months for each jean). It seems like he usually washed and dried every two weeks, and the results are really nice =)

Nice comparison! That's the look I rock with mine. Haven't taken the dip into trying a shorter, more Hayashi-like length, but maybe I'll give it a crack once my current 710 has had a solid run!

    Levi's Vintage Clothing

Go with your '55s! The '76 fabric is more tightly woven and seals in all the juices lol

Yeah, that's so weird that the legs are twisting the opposite way... Never seen a pair look like that

Only just noticed that the white 711 has a paper patch instead of leather. I'm assuming that's because leather could stain the fabric when washed?

Bears is also having their Resolute Fair so Hayashi will be there January 18th and 19th to fit/sign jeans!

Nah, I didn't condition this patch so that's why it's cracking To be honest, I've never felt the need to condition my patches, but this one was rather quick to dry up!

Pic of my 711 patch. I've noticed that some are able to keep theirs supple, but mine is on the road to Jerkytown!

    WAYWT 2020 (Denim Edition)

I was gonna start the 2020 thread since I'm ahead of most of you guys time-wise (Australia woohoo). Leave the honours to the OGs haha Hope everyone is having a good time =)

Many thanks, mate. Takes a bit of effort but it's worth it because people don't need to ask many questions if I'm thorough

Fair call. I did notice BiG had a decent sale on Resolute which is hard to come by. I also found myself wanting to try a different fit so this was a pleasant surprise. I'll continue to like looser fits though!

Hey man, my Grailed is https://www.grailed.com/ceej but I haven't put this up yet. It's also a size M which would be too small on you...?

Was taking pictures of clothing that I'm selling. Sadly, my Triple Pleat has to go (along with a bunch of other things).

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

Hmmmm difficult to say. I've tried in the past but failed as well. I reckon I should be able to hold off from buying denim pants in 2020, but I might struggle with other items like shirts, jackets, etc. Are you limiting your no-buy to jeans only?

    RESOLUTE by hayashi-san!

Thanks, the waist now measures 41.5cm compared to its starting width of 40cm. It started off on the loose side, so I suspect it has the potential to stretch further if put under more pressure. Thinking of getting a pair yourself?

Thanks! This length gives me the option to cuff or leave them uncuffed when wearing sneakers. I'm into the rather sloppy casual style these days haha

    RESOLUTE by hayashi-san!

Thought it would be appropriate for me to finally post some fit pictures of my 710s... They're great as an everyday jean that just look "normal" (i.e. no-frills, regular leg length, not too tight/loose). In saying that, further down the track, I might look into getting a second pair with a slightly shorter inseam to wear on smarter occasions. My 711s have been tossed into the wash and have been put on ice for a bit while I enjoy these! They're a size 33x33 (I'm 170cm/70kg for reference). I think this is as slim as I'd go, so I'm glad I got these over the size 32!

Shoes that look better with age...

Haven't tried Wesco yet, but I like looking at the JP blog because they usually have some interesting/nice makeups. I'm liking the different JH Classics (the burgundy one in particular)... Burgundy domain JH Classics British tan domain JH Classics Forest green Horween Jobmasters

    Dawson Denim

I was taking a peek at the Dawson website the other day but I didn't see the Standard available in black (saw it in the slim and wide cuts only). Was it something you had specially made?

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

I tend to get one-wash jeans these days. If I'm worried there's still some shrinkage left in a one-wash pair then I'll just wash them again before wearing. When I bought unwashed jeans, I double washed them anyway so it hasn't made a difference to me. To be honest, I've never been a fan of having my jeans gradually shrink with every wash. That's why I don't do simple cold/hot soaks and line dries, but rather machine washes and tumble dries.
