  1. Happy Jeans - Tcb 20s contest thread

hello everyone! time to open this thread. We're programming a new TCB contest, this time it will be focused on the TCB 20s cut only. The sponsor of the contest will be our own @edmond and Regiment Store in Manila. Start date: sept 1st 2017 End date: march 1st 2019 Preorder deadline: july 15th 2017 Cost: USD 245, shipping included, hemming included if needed (done by TCB) Customization: it's possible to order the jeans without suspender buttons (they don't make much of a difference as far as comfort when wearing a belt, though) Payment: it's possible that payment will be via credit card only, no paypal. More details about it later... Prizes: thanks to the Asian Charles Bronson & Regiment store we'll have perhaps the most generous prize line up I've ever seen in a contest. 1st Prize = 1 jacket 1 pants 2nd prize = 1 jacket 3rd price = 1 pants 4th prize = newspaper bag 5th prize = hat or cap All TCB products! TCB 20s Replica of a 1922 pair of Levi's 501 from Hajime Inoue's personal collection. typical details of a 1920's pair of jeans, straight cut, cinchback, exposed back pocket rivets, crotch rivet, suspender buttons, iron buttons that will rust over time. Fabric: 8x8 Memphis cotton denim, 12.5 oz weight. Superb fabric, I must say! Special details, only for the contest pair custom patch, designed in Italy special pocket bag fabric, selvedge indigo duck fabric weaved on old looms. Inoue's own words: "indigo canvas can also enjoy discoloration" custom arcs, designed by Inoue, I have no pictures yet of the arcs design, but it'll be something that could be partially unpicked to reveal "proper" arcs waistband chainstitch runoff

Concur with everybody, the 50s denim will still be nice and crunchy after a couple washes. My method is one 60 min soak with hottest water from the tap + 1 machine wahs at 40 degrees C + line dry. If you plan on using a dryer along the road just toss them in the dryer too.

^ fucking nothing, that's why my pair is stuck. how naif is that... I'm pretty sure your pair is stuck in customs. I foresee another custom's rodeo for the German cowboy ; ) TCB could use to great effect the help of someone knowledgeable about English and commerce. to whom enquired about EMS tracking, there's been some sort of bank holiday in Japan (?) and Inoue's wife is back home visiting family, she will send the tracking once back in the factory.

That would be most appropriate actually, although I'm not sponsored by TCB. They have problems understanding my genius and reckoning my power as the next era influencer. Mty tcb stuff has been always bought with my trusty mafia money. Wire transfers from my Cayman Islands account.

  18. Shoes that look better with age...

Please boot experts educate me, there is any difference between a woodsman heel and a cuban heel? I'm toying with the idea of ordering a new lace to toe boot from one of the Indonesian boot makers (Winson) and want to make sure I use the correct terminology. That's their lace to toe design. I'm asking to see if they can slightly modify the last for me (I want MORE space in the toe, need to curl my toes and want a higher, bulkier toe box). A previous experience with another Indonesian boot maker (Santalum) has not been satisfying (farcical communication and payment via Western Union, weird last with no space in the toe, although the boots fit well length and width wise), so I am a bit wary on this, although Winson is supposedly MUCH better and they provide good communication. I may just cave and get a pair of Jobmasters, although between higher price and customs the Wesco would end to cost a fortune... This is what I'd really like, rough out leather and a generous toe area for my hobbit feet.

Apply a coat of starch on seam areas, selvedge after the wash, before putting the jeans in the dryer.

^ I've tried the spray once but didn't make a frigging difference. Try to get the liquid starch if you want to try this out.
