    Unknown Japanese Brands

This thread needs some extra detail shots of the LB denim (rebuilt.jp) jeans. I am really pleased that i had the chance of grabbing these jeans from @Broark . They are very good in every possible aspect, from fit ta fabric to construction and attention to detail. Clearly a lot of thought has been been put into the making of these jeans. I think the maker has found a very nice perspective on jeans making, the construction and fabric choice is clearly repro oriented tho the jeans don't have suspender buttons, and the maker offers the possibility of customising the hem width too. This is my third pair of 1922 501xx repro, so I had the chance of comparing them with tcb 20s and warehouse 1004xx. The fit is quite different from the other two jeans, notably they're cut slimmer in the hips, giving that elusive slender/straight stovepipe fit. They're also a little bit more tapered than the Warehouse and Tcb counterparts. here's some close ups, it's a cloudy and overcast day, the color is quite true. The shade of blue feels almost under saturated, and I remember I felt the same with the 20s denim when new. Warehouse it's definitely a different style of fabric, a touch heavier and much more neppy. The belt loops are made out a lighter fabric (as it was with the original) with the exception of the back centre belt loop which is made with the same denim of the jeans. the pockets fabric is considerably folded. Also Tcb 20s have a bit of this fold but it's not nearly as noticeably. I wonder if it plays a role in the fit. The coin pocket stitching uses two different colors, I wonder if it depends by a color variation of the thread or if it's a deliberate choice. 4 button fly with all donut buttons, it's not iron. Don't think it's a true detail but donuts buttons are the coolest, always. you can see these jeans fit close to the hips from the wear patterns. inner fly construction, beautifully unfinished as it should be Pekaboo The denim in its slightly dull, under saturated charm it's a nice shade of blue, very easy to wear as it doesn't stand out too much it's not too dark and not too vibrant. Back yoke construction featuring a massive "stagger" macro of the two different colors on horizontal and vertical stiching here's the tcb back yoke, very slight stagger leather patch will fade very quickly I think. Back pocket typical constructions with the "corners" made by the fact the fabric it's turned under the stitching machine, my english sucks here but I think you all get what I mean, hopefully. macro Tcb 20s corners are a bit more clean and subtle warehouse cornering and that's a snippet posted by LB maker on how the stitching is made Solide buckle what I can say? these are GREAT jeans. Massive value for the money, and I like the fit more than the other 20s cuts. That's it for now.

    TCB

Slim overall fits are hideous I tell you. It needs to fit loose and when looking at measurements you have to factor in that the waist must be loose to allow for freedom of movement.

    Warehouse Competition Poll

the smelly pit contest. No wash forever haha. I'd love to get the zipped popup but I guess we are far from minimal numbers. Cant'really picture myself committing to a shirt contest. I try to commit to a pair the jeans, often wear a denim jacket and the only variation is the shirt/top.

I always preferred Blunnies too, but if you want something nicer also check Trickers Chelsea boots. they're amazing quality and will last forever. they make both a plain toe and a brogue version.
  14. proper blast from the past. these were cool as hell in italy too around 1996-1998. had them on the puma and adidas campus

    New Contest Suggestion [Poll]

guys, I'm sick, full of painkillers and cranky as fuck today. I just don't see the point of using a poll and discuss pages over the color of the pockets and the position of the arcs, the thread gauge and so on. I would leave this stuff to the professionals (Warehouse and the shop who's actually investing in this contest by accepting a batch order for a minimum of pairs that will surely exceed sufu numbers). We never organized contests in this way in the last few years, it just sounds like a useless waste of democracy and a loss of time, if I may respectfully say so. All these musings about little details gives me unnecessary headaches. I may be biased because I had my fair share of dealing with four handed royal denim wanks when dealing with the organization of tcb 20s contest, even without a poll. I'm happy to sit in the back and see what you guys agree with this time. As long as it's a 5p jeans design, I'm happy anyway. Maynard hits the point to me anyway, do we want to play or do we want an exclusive pair of wh full of bells and whistles? I just want to play. I do it for the fun of sharing bits and bobs of my denim life with like minded fellows and because it seems I need some extra motivation to commit on a pair of jeans. all 5p jeans measurements posted will work for me, W34 and WH standard inseam is the size and that's fine for now. Longer inseam seems the only matter worth a poll to me honestly. anyway just ignore me! hopefully I will feel better the next time I check this thread haha!

    New Contest Suggestion [Poll]

agree on the whole line. It seems to me that we are leaving too many details to a poll without having a precise idea of how much warehouse is at disposal to satisfy our requests...a poll to discuss details that we don't know if will be possible sounds like a potential waste of time/headache... I'd personally narrow down to agree on WW2 details (I hardly believe we can get significant numbers on a non standard 5 pocket jean design, come on...). Green stamp on the patch I think is a 1946 spec, at least I remember the Devis 1946 had the green stamp on patches too.. a poll would be useful only to understand how many people would actually buy a pair with longer inseam... that would be a nice touch, especially if offered as an alternative (standard warehouse inseam is perfect for me).

    New Contest Suggestion [Poll]

I personally don't care much about a personalized leather patch, especially if it will make the whole operation cost more. Honestly the bog standard DD 1003SXX 1943 would already make me more than happy. uneven pockets sounds like a nice touch to make this pair unique. Measurements look so good..

    TCB

nonetheless you faded them to grail, fair play for the commitment. funny I'm a 36 and for me they're right in the waist, tight in the thigh and with a wide leg opening. they're not a perfect cut but I grown up to love it so much to buy three pairs of them.
