They are great @Geeman, just a bit too tapered to work with the outfits I've been preferring. I got a pair of UES 400T back in January that fit the niche for a tapered cut a bit better. The 50s denim is so nice though, I'll be glad to have that option again.

50's got here today from BEARS in 6 days. That was quick. Currently wearing them. I definitely understand the recommendation to size up. My Slim 50s and 60s pairs both fit nicely in a 31, while the 50s are super snug in the waist in 32. Not uncomfortable, and the fit is perfection everywhere else. Definitely happy with this impulse decision.

Nice! On delivery speed and fit!

As I'm sure you've read thousands of times on here by now the waist stretches out plenty. I was positively shocked at how snug mine were when they arrived, within hours had relaxed and got super comfy, might be my most comfortable pair now.

I'd be interested to see how the fit looks as from what I can tell from all your past posts you tend to err on the slimmer side of fits!

They are next up in my daily rotation so I’ll grab a pic or two tomorrow. They are probably my best fitting 50s XX cut, when compared to my Denime XX (31) and my FC 0105 (old cut, size 30).

Those look so good. I love the bleached tab lol, wasn't expecting that.

@SLAYER I also love how these look! It's nice that all of the little bits of fade character stayed, but with a bleached wash - they look great! A lot better than any bleached wash pairs I've seen for sale.

Seems a heavy amount of bleach to have used to get to the end product, I've considered doing this with some pairs before - so you used 4L of bleach in the end? and then a hot wash afterwards?

I've looked into adding some amount of bleach to the machine when washing before too, did you consider that?

Yes around 4L of bleach, i bought the cheapest bottle and the label says <5% concentration so who knows how strong it actually is, i would start with less.

Make sure to neutrazlie the bleach afterwards with something like hydrogen peroxide.

Yes you can also add a bit to your machine, just make sure it's in the dedicated slot.

Hydrogen peroxide is a pretty strong bleach itself. You sure you didn't mean something else?

chemistry my friend

hydrogenperoxide on its own is acidic yes and may "bleach" clothing

bleach is a base and mixed with hydrogen peroxide (acid) it neutralizes each other

So did your bleach contain sodium hypochlorite? But if you need just acid to neutralize, I guess citric acid will be sufficient without the "risk" to bleach further?!

yes, its usual sold like that in europe aka "javelwater"

neutralization should be instant so you shouldn't worry about further bleaching

@SLAYER What does the metal hardware look like after all of this? Hydrogen peroxide is a wicked oxidizer so I’d imagine that the metal rivets and buttons would change, especially depending on final acid/base equilibrium or stoichiometry.

The bleach oxidised them already even before the peroxide.

I should've covered them with nailpolish before, which i did in the second round to stop further decay

Motor New Vintage Old Baggy Denim Trouser in 30. Preordered them months ago after I fell in love with their shoes. I've learned from a post by @Hopethisoneisnttakenthat these are TCB's. I checked with Moto and they confirmed they were made for them by TCB-Inoue.

These are super fun. No way I'll be able to tolerate the suspender buttons, so they won't be daily drivers. Still prefer the rise in FC 0105.  I love the patch.

The description of that Moto pair makes them sound like the TCB-made 90s style cut (which Moto specifically calls out) that some people (can’t remember who exactly) were hoping for in the TCB Contest thread with the addition of suspender rivets on these. They look great

i dont think the no.2 will be a country mile off those tho: i predict there will be balloooning, saggy back rise: maybe more subtle twist than such a phat str8 leg… imma telling myself to trust the pattern cutters and the process… (plus i came to repro vintage cuts from the late 90s, specifically into lvc 1870s models and it was a natural transition)

@super-thermite: very nice fit indeed! nice with loafers! suspender buttons aren’t that intrusive in practice in my experience…
