He's a lovely guy, haven't seen yet the jeans in flesh. He did some very nice repairs on my tcb jeans in the past. I'm tempted to get a pair just to give him some support, but I need to loose some timber first...

Super nice guy, my Instagram interactions with him were great. If you ever do make it to his shop to collect a pair try to snap some pics.

P.S. Hope you’re well!

Today a friend brought me to a Jeanerica sample sale (Swedish fashion/denim brand). Thought I wouldn't buy anything since most of their jeans are pre-faded, but in a small pile were a couple of raw jeans reduced from $200 to $50 so there wasn't much to lose really. Would describe the cut as 66-ish (straight but with a slight taper), denim is about 12oz and made in Portugal.
It's clear that these weren't made for a denim-enthusiast market but on a discount they're not bad, it can be nice to take a break from all the japanese stuff once in a while.

Recently discovered Word of Mouth Jeans, a one-man-band made one by one in Italy by the very friendly and knowledgeable Simone.
While I haven't ordered a pair yet I'm on the verge, just need to sell a pair or two so I can justify it.
He currently offers two cuts, a pair of 50's and 60's inspired jeans. He is also working on a late 40's pair and some other stuff.
You can contact him via Instagram DM for more info. Maybe our friend @volvo240thebest can get a pair!

His homepage is online:

The jeans look nice (the back pocket shape improved). The price is quite steep but I am probably just cheap :D

Meanwhile, the one thing I have from Bronson that hasn’t fallen apart has been a really huge success

Wore this most days for probably around 2–3 years from ~2016 onwards, and even now it still sees a few days of sunlight each month

Great denim, great execution. Overall I probably prefer the Union Special version, but not by a large margin

Ship John Holcomb.

The denim is a 14oz black/grey from Nihon Menpu

These were gifted to me late last year and only ever get worn on date nights. I don't see myself really breaking these in but figured I might as well share them here

I was looking for black jeans a few years ago and gave up. These sort of scratched the itch but the cut is slimmer than I'd like. They are really flattering though

That's the same denim I used on my pair of jeans I made myself. It fades slow but it's nice. Lends itself well to vintage fades.

Edit: here's what the denim looks like after a few months and frequent washing

Has anyone here put any significant wear into their Rockets pairs? Their faded example photos always grab my attention and I know at least a few people here have pairs, so I'm curious if anyone has worn them enough to form much of a firsthand opinion.
