haha nope. just like engineer boots. i bought them and love em. i dont have enough money to have multiple pairs of jeans. i bought 660s thinking that they were a good cut for me, guess i should stay away from pull ons until i get some 700s or something similar

I have 3 pairs of Chippewas, and all of them are very well made.

- 2006 27911

- 1960's Sears (Made by Chippewa)

- 2008 27873

None of the modern boots cost me more than $130, and the 6 inch one was just $80. Of course the vintage one is a little more substantial, and the leather is indeed thicker. Definitely worth the money. My favorite thing about Chippewas is the extra long and pointy instep strap. It's kind of like their signature.

Hey I have a couple pairs of raw denim that have started to smell after several wears. I don't want to lose any colour in them so the only option I have is dry cleaning. Will that get rid of the smell?

Handwash and line dry. Or machine wash gentle and line dry. Organic soap. Or a boiling soak. You must be mad to dry clean them.

Handwash them cold, as coleslawyum says, and you might find they get darker, rather than lighter, as the warp yarn fills out.

Maybe you're thinking about Samurai Jeans Thunder Soap. I think Blue In Green carries it. They ship to the UK. I mean any organic soap will do. Just look for stuff that is natural and non-bleaching. I'm talking about really weak soap, so it doesn't affect the color.

Wash inside out to prevent weird machine machine fades or fold fades, unless you've got one of those high-tec machines with an excellent hand-wash module.
