The size 36 800 is near identical in measurements to my size 38 lvc 47s. So it's a slimmed down 40s cut. Only model I know in the warehouse line up that will be slimmer will the 900. Everything else will be fuller cut in the same tagged size as your 800s.

Did you get a 33 this time? Hope they work out for you. Great denim.

I'll try a 34 again. It seems to be a different cut / denimn and 33 just sounded wrong from the measurements. The Samurai 710 and 500 I got in 34 lately were also a bit tight, so the bigger size seems tobe the safe route. Just wondering, wether they really are sanforized, as the bureau claims them to be.

What is the "banner" denim, and where have we seen it used? I may have a pair of the 2013 1001 on the way.

PeterParker, you got it!

The "banner denim" was used on the 2012 1001XX and 1105, the new 1001, 1001SXX, and 900.

As far as the denim used on the 1003XX, I'm not how often they've changed the fabric on it, however it is always 6x6! (different from the banner denim)

Speaking of Warehouse denim (poor segue lol), check out these amazing new faded pairs they posted:

15th 1001ZXX: http://info.ware-house.co.jp/sample/brands/warehouse/52.html

700XX (potentially my favorite pair they've posted): http://info.ware-house.co.jp/sample/brands/warehouse/51.html

and finally some Copper Kings: http://info.ware-house.co.jp/sample/brands/copperking/50.html

Can't remember where I wrote it, but there's a 1000XX oxidation denim (7x6) and the "strong twisted yarn" (for lack of better translation) denim (6x6). The latest "standard" iterations (listed here http://info.ware-house.co.jp/basic.html)

of 1000(1000XX) and 800 use the "strong twisted yarn" 6x6, but it isn't clear if the new 1003XX uses it as well, although the specs are the same (single crop Memphis, 6x6). My guess is it may be different as WWII denim's are usually one off's.

It's definitely confusing because the 700, 800, 660 carried at BiG use the 7x6 1000XX.

This is for Ed. Apologies if you're not interested in seeing this comparison again.

If I remember correctly, the jury was still out on the denim used for the 2013 1003. I just received that and the 2012 1001. I snapped some comparison pics. The two are wildly different and the 1003 shares more in common with the 1000xx denim, than the 2012 1001.

1003/1001/700

1003 is a warmer caste, more irregular grin-through and hairier.

1003 top/1001 bottom. The 1003 is thicker, stiffer and more coarse than the 1001.

Both are beautiful.

1003 on top/1001 on bottom. The back pocket shapes are wildly different. The 1001 has an extreme bell and hard taper. The 1003 is much straighter both in shape and stitching. 1003 also has a stitched down red tab vs. 1001 having just the red stitching.

No, I haven't worn the 700s much. I put suspender buttons on them and love the look with the cinch back, but on a jean like that, I don't want them fitted or snug at all and I sized them like a normal pair. I'll probably get around to them some day, but for now I have other fits that I'm happier with.

So, I got my 800 raw from the bureau. And I think they might work...they seemed pretty small at first, but fit so comfortable as almost no pair before due to the rise and wide thigh. I hope they fit after the wash.

Waist: 89cm

Frontrise: 31,5cm

Backrise: 42 cm

Thigh: 33,5 cm

Hem: 23 cm

Inseam: 88 cm

Excuse the mess and bad pictures...will try to take decent ones on the weekend. Now I just need to decide wether to soak them and to wear them before the DWC or save them up.

I have the 800 in 34 too Max.  Such a simple, classic, no frills pair of jeans, with a nice, textured 15 oz. denim.  As you say, high rise and lots of room on top, yet with tapering below.  All at a great price with no need for hemming.  What's not to like?  I think the fit is just right on you.
