Perfect summer pair once I get the top button fixed.

SC40382A - boot cut and therefore non-selvage, a more modern cut with low front/back rise and zipper...

Not sure how the low rise will work out, but I dig the persimmon and will give the denim in this cut a go this coming spring...

So far, so good/bad, but here it comes: a true rainbow of colours...

For sure, the rainbow is pure gimmick, but I'm loving it!

"Begin - Just drift with groove"

Still keep digging for a raw pair 2nd hand in my size - have seen a few pairs popping up here and there, unfortunately not with a reasonable price tag yet...

The Edo Ai have landed:

6FRGlSo.png

The denim is really unlike anything else I have or have seen. It has a wave type of patten where the green alternates with the blue. From the dying process I assume?
Not to mention the slub and nep. Crazy!

The fit is very comfortable and well fitted without being baggy or boxy. A higher rise than normal on me and still plenty of room in the front pockets. I like it a lot.

A special thank to Hollows and Beautiful_Freak for bringing these to my attention and helping me source them.

More pictures to come.
Cheers Guys.

Edit: I have just noticed that the older versions of these (eg Hollows pair) have an arc and Tab. Mine don't.

These must be post L3vi's Lawsuit etc. They're still great though.

Thanks BF,

They're from Earthmarket on Rakuten via SuTo corp as they didn't ship internationally themselves.

I'm really pleased with them.

Looks like I managed to grab the last s33 as they're now sold out.

This is the SC40501a (one wash).

To be fair the wash seems quite light as there isn't much creasing and the denim is still quite stiff. Great as far as I'm concerned!

Thanks

Could somebody please verify - I thought the AI (natural indigo) models are SC40300, SC40400 and SC40500?

Furthermore, there should be a hand loom model in natural indigo - SC40600?

So, SC40501 is the regular indigo version of the natural indigo version SC40500 - the denim is the same (cotton/sugarcane fibers), but the details on the pants are different...

I don't like to advocate people picking up more jeans than they need, but the 1947 model comes with my highest recommendations and if you can get a raw version, even better. I haven't seen that sample pair above before, damn...

(cool to see more activity in this thread as of late btw)
