karanimal 829 Posted September 7, 2016 This was my first TSG attempt. I wish the cut had worked. My situation may have been a mistake. Long story short - purchased size 36. Waist was 35.5(no problem), thigh 12.25(problem for me). On item page 36 is supposed to have 13.2 thighs. Wasn't meant to be I guess. I've tried to make TSG jeans work for years, the measurements in theory should work somewhat OK for me but in reality it always ends up looking off. I can't really pin point my issue, i think it may have to do with narrow hip measurements on them relative to a larger waist and low rise. I've been on the fence about trying the regular straight cut from them but it seems to only come in the 1xxx denim
mikecch 1,276,428 Posted September 7, 2016 ^ You're not alone mate. Been looking at them for years, waited until this collaboration cut - which needs better measuring and is still not perfect for what it claims to be. Really cool denim though, I bought it just for collection, really.
ShootThePier 250 Posted September 7, 2016 I will have a store credit once received by SESF. I'm close enough to SELA, and like the denim enough, that I may go in and try on multiple pairs to see if I can find a pair that will not be too tight after washing.
UkeNo 102,868 Posted September 8, 2016 Did they fit though? Thanks For reference I wear a 32. I bought the SESG's in a 36. Weird sizing indeed. No fit pics for a long time because these are on ice while I wear my Stevenson's and Warehouse's.

sgs 29 Posted October 3, 2016 Anyone noticing any evo on their wavy jeans yet? I have a pair myself but unfortunately I have a suit and tie job so I only get to wear on nights and weekends. I'm impatient and am dying to know what lies ahead.
mikecch 1,276,428 Posted October 3, 2016 My pair has only been worn one week unfortunately...
FeloniousMonk 901 Posted October 3, 2016 Same situation here. They're still in the closet, and my limited wear time is spent on the Ooe contest jeans. Haven't seen any fade pictures yet on reddit either, though it has only been about a month since they came out.
Articulate 14 Posted October 3, 2016 Mine are on ice as well. Stevenson's and WH's blocking the way.

TheGooch 0 Posted October 6, 2016 I was wondering how strong the mud-dyed weft peeks through the denim on a pair of SG2109s. I have looked at pictures online, but it looks as though results may vary. Does the weft fade with soaks and washings? I'm guessing the color doesn't show up with fades? In addition to Strike Golds, Momotaros and 3Sixteens...any other companies offer brown/mud/tan dyed wefts? Thanks!
Niro 1,020 Posted October 6, 2016 Japan Blue (under Momotaro umbrella) do one, and I think Rogue Territory do one as well

Hemi of NZ's Wakefield Hotel posted some pics of some well worn 2109's ages ago and you could see the weft quite clearly, but they were heavily worn to the extent of there being nothing but weft in certain areas if you see what i mean.
drew_breeze 531 Posted October 14, 2016 (edited) wanted to post a couple fit pics of my wavy standards. Like most i found the fit to be a little off and i sized up from 32 to 36. Although the are a bit big i am enjoying the level of comfort, I soaked them for about an hour and have been wearing them the past 3 weeks. UkeNo 102,868 Posted October 14, 2016 Drew Breeze - they look good fitted loose like that. Can I ask what the waist measures now? Thanks.

ReverendGlasseye 111 Posted December 20, 2016 I've been scouring this thread for the fit advice on TSG sweats. I'm eyeing an oatmeal one from the Tenryo shop. How did you guys size them? I'm eyeing the medium at the moment but the shrinkage makes me consider the large; I like my tops on the shorter side but I don't need it to be a crop top. I'm 5'10", weigh ~150-lbs with a slim/average build.
goodrain 860 Posted December 20, 2016 I have a medium and wish it were a bit longer. If you like your tops on the shorter side it should work for you. IMO the medium will fit you kinda like this after a wash. If you prefer the relaxed fit on the Tenryo model, then get a large. http://www.selfedge.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=813
itsbenhere 2,697 Posted December 20, 2016 You should be getting a medium man. For sure. Mine is super short but that's because I got washed and dried it, if you just wash it it won't shrink as much. I think the large will be too big on you if you're looking for a "clean" look, like kobayashi or me etc

I'm impatient and am dying to know what lies ahead. I've worn mine about 2 months or so, with one cold soak just recently. They are starting to have some pops of blue, especially in the crotch area, back pockets and front pockets. They also are starting to soften up a bit.

I usually wear a pair of SC Okinawas and TFH 3009s. I'm assuming they should be okay considering their rises.
