Did you ever end up contacting them? I’m contaminating whether size 10 will work or not for me.

Lovely shoes arn't they.. nice bit of geography teacher steeze

I agree.. the Ichimaigawa & Ashinari are the two most visually appealing models.. alas, the Vibram sole on the Ashinari looks too chunky for quite a dainty shoe..

The sole on the Ichimaigawa makes much more sense..alas, the cut of the leather on this model, around where the tongue is attached opens up a hole with wear, i would find seeing my socks through the shoe, quite annoying.

I find the Ashinary derbys quite balanced. I like the look and the aging.

However, I tried contacting them via emails but no reply so far. Can’t place an order to outside of Japan it would seem. I’d also like to be more sure about the size, since 10 is at risk to be too small for me, but I’ll settle for any other reply from them as well.

That sock thing is weird! I didn’t give much attention to the Ichimaigawa model so I missed it

Speaking of geography teacher shoes, after seeing a pair of Aurora Shoe Co Middle English clogs at Drake's in NYC and needing some new house shoes, I ended up ordering a pair direct from Aurora. Drake's unfortunately had none in my size - which is a shame as they had a really nice roughout pair. Though in hindsight, not sure if geography teacher or a carpenter from Jerusalem whose been dead for 2000 years.

@jkbrwn I’ve always wanted to try those out, I’d be interested in your thoughts once you get them in. I wear Birks a lot during the summer and these seem like they’d be a good change of pace.

Will update in due course. I wanted a pair of Oak Street Country Loafers and turns out they're just rebadged Aurora's but in leathers not offered by Aurora.

I was always impressed with that pocket opening repair work she did Charlie..  the (i think) red crossover stitch? top marks!

Well remembered Neal, l am impressed. Yeah still going strong, they are my Roy OG's from 2010. Funnily enough  my son recently wore them to cart a load of paving slabs, hollow block and hard-core round from next doors, as they're moving and this stuff was excess to his requirements.

The red crossover stitch was to match the Roy chainstitch signature on the inside front pocket 😁

I ended up getting Soul-Boy his first pair of Levi's when it was the cyber monday sale at the Levis Store

They're this cut 'Levi's 578 Baggy' .. the waist is a bit big but it pulls in ok with a belt

He loves them, the hem sits perfectly over the Military blue AJ4s he got for Xmas

I paid £56 down from £80.. I think he looks better in a pair of SC47s..  he doesn't agree

Baggy is in apparently,  Heech junior is either rocking my old FW47'S that are four sizes too big or a pair of 80s Carhartt carpenter/painter pants, and like you said, all pulled in with the belt. He's got all my 'old vintage' tees and tops too, mostly TKmaxx finds some fifteen years old now and my old Denimbruin tee l got from Mr Randall. Good to see stuff still being reused .

Initial impressions are good. They’re perhaps a bit agricultural - QC wise - compared to other $200+ pairs of shoes I own but I guess that’s part of the handmade vibe.

They’re already softening up nicely after a couple of hours of wear. I took true to my bannock size (10.5E) and it feels just right. They’re a 10.5D but in reality as they have a natural foot shape, the D is plenty wide.

They have zero arch support. Insole is totally flat as a pancake. They smell wonderful. I expect them to last for a very long time and for them to be exceedingly comfy after they’ve molded to my feet.

Some photos below. If you had genuinely narrow feet, the C width would probably work better.
