Their designs look good but all they have to say about their provenance is “imported”, which feels tough to support

Yeah I’d prefer to go with Columbiaknit for a new rugby. Their patterns are different (less like the classic climbing ones) but they’re really beefy and sleeves are long

New (to me) hat. I'm a sucker for foam fronts with trucks on them and found a couple at one of my favorite resale shops near me the other day.

Shirt is vintage OG-107

Vest is some vintage

DIY jeans

@julian-wolf

Drake’s have a selection of Rugby shirts. Theirs are made in Portugal which is where a lot of their wovens/jersey appear to be made. Given they make some stuff in England/Scotland/Italy there must be a solid reason they’ve chosen Portugal.

Its pricey and not US/Japan made but I’ve got a number of their items and it’s good quality stuff.

@Cold Summer Those jeans fit great. Still going back and forth on whether I should have snagged a pair. Really like the cut of that shirt, too; it’s hard to find a modern short-sleeved button-up that doesn’t have the pockets pushed up way too high

@Cold SummerMust be extremely warm for a short sleeve chambray right now!

Yes! Very pleasant weather in Georgia this week, in the low 70s. A couple weeks ago, we had lows of 15 degrees F. Weather around here this time of year is completely schizo.

Thanks! I'd been hankering for an S501xx repro for a bit, and ones by Sugar Cane, Freewheelers, Warehouse tempted me, but lack of availability, price, and doubts about fit had me apprehensive, until this pair came out and ticked off all the boxes for me. I'm glad I was patient.

The shirt is super cool, I found it on the rack at a local charity thrift store for a few dollars. I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but it's made in the USA from a selvedge chambray fabric, so it could be from the 60s or earlier. It's a size M but fits somewhat large, which suits my Grandpacore style well enough these days. I feel like I need some sort of old timey headgear to go with this sort of outfit, but I'm not real sure where to look.

@Cold Summer I really like those as well. I might grab a pair at some point. I really appreciate the long inseams from TCB at my height since I generally prefer 33-34" after the first wash. WH, Denime, FC, etc. generally either start too short or eventually shrink shorter than I prefer unless I'm really careful about wash/dry temperatures.

@yung_flynn Exactly, I actually had them hemmed to 87 cm/34" since the measurements on Bears' site suggested a 94 cm inseam. I don't think they were actually that long, judging from the cut off hems they nicely included with my jeans, but given my preference for wearing my jeans uncuffed nowadays, the hem would have looked a bit sloppier with the original length. This pair was one washed and seemingly tumble dried in the process, so there shouldn't be further shrinkage.

I wear the same thing every day, not sure why I bother with these still

(edit: Speaking of fancy clothes fatigue…)
