@indigo_junkie's report of the 33 OW waist has me wondering whether sizing up 1" isn't going to be enough. Any reports of waist measurements on 34 and 36 OW gratefully received...

When I went to the tcb factory on June 22nd, I weighed 78 kilos, but since then I have exercised and weighed down to 69.9 kilos.  34 inches is loose...

#84 checking in with my 36x30 OW, still damp after a 40 degree wash (industrial machine, no detergent) to get the final shrinkage out and some roping started. A bit tighter and shorter than anticipated but this will work, no doubt. Could already feel the top block becoming more comfortable as I was trying them on while damp. And I guess I'll be rocking the no-cuff, which I don't really mind. The denim and details are sooo good, such a special pair of jeans!

Annoyingly the jacket was missing from the shipment but Ryo already sorted it, will ship out Monday so I'll have it mid-end of next week.

#19 checking in! I like my pockets but have the same issue as everyone else with the waist coming in at 75 cm (37,5 x2) instead of 83,5 is giving me some trouble.. and I already sized up! The fit actually work really well though, exept for the top button. So I might just skip that one until I adjust my waist measurement accordingly (much needed:))

#118 checking in. Oversized fit which is what was intended. Really pleased with these.

Just had a cold soak so far so more shrinkage to come.

I soak the jeans one more time (OW version) and I realize there is (much) more shrinkage based on the visible 'bubble-air-trapped' between the leather patch and the denim.

I think this can explain the deviation between OW version vs Raw+self soak version

Got my jeans and jacket today. The jacket fits great. It matches the size chart. The jeans don't. The waist simply is not in the ballpark of what I ordered. Measuring according to TCB standard, waist pulled flat (cuz really folks, what's the point of measuring against their charts using a different measuring style?), I have a 28.5" waist on an advertised 30.9" waist. You do the math.

@volvo240thebest, I'm tired of your gaslighting around TCB's mistake. They messed up, not the people that ordered a size that did not arrive. There is no magic equation you used that everyone else with improperly cut jeans failed to. My waist measures 31" and I ordered 31". That's your method. That's not my method, but regardless I ended up with a dissatisfactory result and I'm not really interested in hearing how I should have ordered or how I should stretch them out. They are not the size I ordered. Period. 

I appreciate that TCB will stand behind the product and do what's right to make exchanges, etc. My frustration is not with the solution on their end, simply that this could have been avoided by measuring the jeans after manufacture to ensure reasonable compliance with advertised dimensions. I didn't even need to measure these jeans to immediately see they were much too small for a 31.

Finally, I'm not mad at anyone. I appreciate you, @volvo240thebest for the tremendous work you put into all of this. I appreciate TCB for taking on the task of dealing with the many hyper particular denim dweebs that frequent this joint and making this contest happen. Thank you all for your hard work.

As for how I proceed, I haven't decided yet. I think I'll end up sending them back as they are the kind of tight that digs deep into my hip bones and I just don't want to wear pants that do that even though I know they'll stretch to be ok-ish. But I still need to try them on again and make a final decision.

Agree strongly with @Jared_Lee—very happy that so many have lucked out with excellent fits, but the sentiment floating around of “shoot, I guess I should have sized up” really misses the point: no, we shouldn’t’ve sized up; given the posted size charts, we ordered the correct sizes, and claiming in retrospect that we should have acted differently unfairly and unreasonably shifts the blame
 

Anyway, just got the notification that my jeans and tee have made it—looking forward with thorough excitement and mild trepidation to finally trying them on this evening—fingers crossed!

I may have my 33s if you want. I’ll probably send back and get a 34. But if want message me. The 33 ow measure about what you are looking for. Maby even smaller.

Ugh...  This is just not going to be comfortable. I will give them a shot but I don't think the thigh / knee measurements are going to work...  Sigh...
