Warehouse

Warehouse can be confusing on the naming and knowing what fabrics are being used but I just took a look at the most recent line sheet and it looks like the DD-1001 1947 uses the no.7 x no.7 13.5oz tri-state US cotton and the 1001XX(1000XX) 1947 uses 7.5 x 7.5 pink selvedge denim which sounds like it should be the DSB. I'm not sure if that was different previously though.

Very long time no post, but loving these cinch back 1003XXs a lot! Excuse the lifted shirt but just wanted to show the rise. Closest fit I’ve found to my old Warehouse Montgomery Ward 1939s from 2014 or so. These are a 1941ish. Very pleased. Size 38". Shrank down a good inch and a half in the waist and a couple of inches in length. Still required a hem and chain stitch to 29”…

Looks good, @scooby! I have the same jacket. I have the matching jeans to my uncle who's worn nothing but 501's from the 50s to today. He loves them.

Don't be afraid to wash it with fabric softener. You're not going to hurt anything, but tumbled lightly after using liquid softener should soften that dry, crunchy texture a bit and leave the fabric feeling more pliable.

I hot wash and machine dry all of my denim with whatever detergent and/or fabric softener my wife buys

This jacket is still so new and hasn't really gotten dirty so I've just been washing it in my tub whenever Ive had a particularly sweaty day

Don't remember if I ever posted these.... Montgomery Ward 1939 (not the 1939S) that I mentioned a couple of posts ago. I had a really crass repair done by a dry cleaner on the crotch blowout, but years later, way after I - eh hem - grew out of them - I had them repaired by Zip and co at Denim Doctors in Los Angeles. Terrible repair experience and the outcome was just okay. Long story...

And the repair work. I paid $250 for these small repairs - along with a hem and chainstich hahahaha.

And it took about four visits to Denim Doctors and about 4 weeks instead of the 3-4 days that I was quoted.
