We’re in a similar boat... OOEs will be my next pair assuming Inoue doesn’t have a 40s model up his sleeve. But it sounds like the 20s conest jeans will be finished up sooner than later and I’m not one to buy jeans to and wait to wear them.

Yeah it's not like I'm at a loss for jeans to wear either, realistically probably should keep selling before I start buying more.
But I'm not very good at the whole self control thing.

The rise and thigh will stretch a bit, but not as much as the waist.

If I can sell another pair I can justify buying these for myself I think.

I've been looking at OOE for a while but really hesitating in buying the OA02-1017 ! What is the consensus on sizing this fit  ? I'm a 30 in almost everything (TCB50, flathead 3005, Boncoura) is +1 (31) the way to go ?

@Broark stop trying to kid yourself. You should just pick these up :D

I will buy another pair of Ooe in the future, but for now I will make do with your desire for another pair haha

You're probably right @Niro, just trying to decide if I really need another pair right now.
Would love to see more photos of the new OA denim side by side with the older lot, there are a few photos floating around but not many.
Also going to New Orleans in a bit under two weeks time so I need to make sure I've got some cash for that.

The only thing they changed is the weft color which isn't as white as the older XX-denim. But it really made a difference when I checked them out.

Ryo said the inspiration came from his geeking out over vintage Levi's and thought that almost all Japanese brands these days have a weft that is too white compared to old Levi's. Took them over a year to get the fabric just the way they wanted it.

"He's a crazy guy", like Hiro said. :D

Size 33 in the Ooe is pretty close, why not get those instead?

Yes I did but 7.5-7.7 inch leg opening is too narrow. I might just gamble with the 32 in the 01. Did anyone order a 32 or 33? If so I might wait for a fit pic

Hey goodrain, sorry this is late for your request, but here’s the OA01 fit in size 33. I normally wear a 31 and these are perfect in the top block post-soak. One of the best waist fits out of any of my jeans.

I’m a little surprised by the photos myself - they look less baggy than they feel.

Oh, and I really need to add a public thanks to @mrsmiff and the rest of the S&S crew for these amazing prize pants! Sorry it’s so late in coming, we’ve had a mental couple of months in the Monk household.

Thanks, Monk! I think I will grab a pair of 32s. Just need to go home and figure out the inseam part. So we are supposed to give them our desired length post wash, even though the jeans will come raw?

They’re the Golden Gate jeans! It’s a really lovely fabric they made. The slight extra heft, texture, and depth of color relative to the standard OA fabric is a nice change. Feels like they just tweaked it up a couple notches all around without going crazy. They’re super hairy, too, will have to get a couple detail shots once we get a sunny weekend day in NYC.

Shame about only having one set of legs and all, I’m really trying to get my RJBs broken in.

copped a pair of the 32s! Thanks for everybody's help. Bobbo talking about the fabric really pushed me over the edge.
