I'd go for the SexI04s since you want a slim fit and high rise. I think its harder to find slim denim with high rises.

No tailor worth his salt would suggest you leave a button undone on the cuff. Never do up the bottom button of the suit though.

Try something like thin finn dry black coated unless you're not looking for a coated black then maybe you could go for something like the black apc new cures or something.

Lastly, check out the Sugarcane SC 40501, these are a homage to the Levi's 1880s jeans, complete with pliers pocket, in a lovely natural/synthetic denim mix. (PM me if you happen to be W31 L32!).

Slight situation, I got my APC new standards not too long ago (1 month) and they're beginning to fray and fall apart all over! Is this standard? Are these jeans meant to be worn consistantly from day to day? I'm getting worried, and disappointed... I liked the concept of breaking in a nice pair of denim and making them ... you, but by the looks of things, I'll have to rotate. Any ideas?

Not within a month...I'm guessing they're extremely dirty so maybe a wash or soak would help. Patch up whatever denim you feel is thin and maybe it'll last a little longer. APCs arent made of the best denim, maybe you should invest in a pair of Samurais or work-wear jeans.

Skull 5507XX 6x6 27. Unsoaked (but the denim's sanforized), and mad tight. I can fasten all the buttons, but it definitely feels strained. I'm not sure whether I like the fit or not yet, looking for some help deciding whether to keep or sell these.

They look super tight around your ass and upper thigh, but wear them for a bit and see how they break in.

They look like they really hurt. I appreciate there are philosophical differences in peoples' approaches to denim but wearing those just looks like an unpleasant experience.

right model but wrong size in my opinion. they will stretch in the waist a good bit, but the top block as a whole may not stretch enough to overcome that "these jeans are too small for me" look...

I guess I will try one more time. I have a pair of Corpus raw jeans (thankfully a pair without crazy back pockets) and was wondering if there is anywhere I can find info on the denim they use. I was thinking of doing a soak, but I wasn't sure if it would do anything as far as shrinking.

I seem to recall BIG no longer chainstitching jeans not purchased there. I would call them and check. If not, 45rpm will chainstitch for a price.
