This is really helpful Buler

Next time we're challenged with this nonsense 'do you really need 64 pairs of jeans'...

Yeah it's pretty normal... my mate on the denim forum has 100 hats... so actually I'm a bit light and could do with a few more pairs...

Good luck with that!  I tried that with a friend who has 500+ (really hard to count when you have that many and some in offsite storage) hats. My wife just said "you are both crazy".

Anything with cats on it automatically gets points. Men also love beets, and I sort of want to buy the new Indigofera/Ebbets field “Root of all Evil” cap. It has a huge turnip on the front. But it’s expensive and I’d look ridiculous in a short brimmed cap, I don’t pitch for the Yonkers or whoever, and I don’t direct Gene Kelly movies. Would make me very happy to wear it around the kitchen though.

Yeah I need to decide whether to start repairing the starting holes or move on to a next one. No idea what to get next though. The cap has been washed plenty and now that it is so light coloured my sweaty bald head makes it brown and needs more washes more often..

Vintage / deadstock Nike mesh back..

fullsizeoutput_45a8.thumb.jpeg.e0f78ad7acd281b7004720bbfe5fe418.jpeg

.. the fat belly swoosh dates from 1978-85, it's printed on a Made in Korea CardinaL.. 'Cardinal Cap & Jacket Co' was established in 1975..  it's clearly got age due to the yellowing of the foam but like we see from a lot of 70s era Nike.. although the company was producing clothing and footwear lines in USA, Japan, Italy, Taiwan, Korea ect.. when it came to event promo, pulling together a couple of 100 caps or tees was done through a third party.

Nike tees given away at 10 or 15k road / trail races were printed on Hanes Fifty-Fifty or Russell rather than a Nike label..

I found the Cardinal phone number on a job vacancy for an experienced sewing machine mechanic in an archived page of the Virginia Chronicle so everything tracks.. :)

..but unlike this one on Grailed, i paid less than £40..

Thought I'd share some of my favorite hats I've been wearing a lot lately.

Made in USA 1996 Summer Olympics hat I got in 1996 when I lived in Georgia and got to go to some events. My parents kept it all this time and brought it when they visited us.

I also scored a cool University of California, Berkeley hat on eBay for cheap. Quality is very questionable but I like the funny bear.

I vaguely remember the '96 Olympics since I was growing up in the Atlanta area at the time.
I do fondly remember my parents some of the Izzy mascot pins, wonder if they still have those somewhere.
