Wassup y'all! Wanted to ask and see what the repair process looks like now a days. Some soundbites I heard over the years is that they never answer, decline service, and that it's just a really negative experience. My 2017-18 J28 is experiencing some delamination. I emailed them a week ago but ended up just sending it off to Gear Re-store in Colorado yesteraday. Quoted me 37 bucks for everything which was nice and the person I spoke to was awesome.

Can you show us before and after pictures? I thought you couldn't do much about delam.

You can't, it's probably just a patch repair.

In my experience, people just tend not to exercise much critical thinking when they need help. People often email the team during the busiest periods (drop cycles or during collaborations) and then just wait interminably. As for declining service, this is only really the case when they literally cannot do anything about it, and often offer to pay for whatever repairs from a specialist might cost. For example, if you quote them the cost of your 3rd party repair (assuming it's gore-approved), they will likely pay for the invoice.

I've emailed them on multiple occasions, both outside of drop cycles & during, and send follow-ups, at most, 2 days later, and I've never had an issue.

You have to keep in mind that the one person checking repair & shop emails is likely the same person doing all of the back of house, which means they're the ones taking care of all the stock, all the orders, all the returns etc. Just keep following up.

M fabric is kind of a surprising choice for FW, but it helps lower prices. Pretty smart move given chilly consumer spending in recent years.

J91A is interesting but I wish he'd just improve the J83's zippers and bring that back. The higher pocket placement looked much better imo. But with both jackets, the way they hang in jacketsling mode is quietly one of the best features. I loved my J83 dearly until I left it in a NYC subway car 😢

P58A is too much for me, but then that's what I thought about P38 as well, maybe seeing it in fits and in motion will sell it.

The Kojima jacket in orange would be sick if it didn't have that wack text all over it...

For me, only the J1WB-BQ is attractive this season. Can anyone speak to the fabric?

also the landing page is cute 🐵

Hi all,

It's been a minute since I've been on here. I've worn my P10A-DS's for about 5 years into the ground, ripped and teared and split the seat... Had them repaired once but it was time to let them go.

I have a also picked up a pair of P10-DS when they re-released, but I need my A pockets back!

Does anyone have both -DS and the new -M varient? I understand the new material is Cheaper than Schoeller but what are the pro's/con's of the M material? It's literally just Nylon, right? It's obviously going to be less stretchy just looking at the numbers. and I think Dryskin was typically cooler than Nylon. I'm thinking to wait around on Grailed or here for some DS ones to show up instead.

  • NYLON STRETCH
  • _(98% Polyamide, 2% Elastane)
  • _Water repellent, breathable
  • _Fabric made in USA
  • _Military specification

VS

  • schoeller® 3XDRY® DRYSKIN™
  • Made in Switzerland
  • (65% Polyamide, 26% Polyamide Micro, 9% Elastane)

Bought the P46A interested to see how the differences in sizing make them fit compared to the OG pair. Would have been way cooler with a grey pair though.

Which one do you like more? I am interested in picking up the p46a as well, does it still stack with the shorter length

i think you're going to find the new cut very disappointing, it's quite a bit shorter too. if you get a size up it should work fine. M doesn't _actually_ stretch

Anyone know if retailers are getting the p44? would rather not deal with customs if possible!

you're stuck paying duties on this P44 as its mothersite-exclusive, last retailer pants are P30AL/BL

Sorry if this topic has been discussed to death by now, but I couldn’t find a similar discourse with my searching.

What would make you choose a more expensive trouser like P38-DS, over something more substantially “cheaper” as P44?

Is it purely hype / quantities that are affecting the price here?

MIE vs MIC impacts price significantly

A few ppl over in the discord have bought it - it's nice, lightweight & boxy, fits very big, some guys are sizing down multiple sizes.

The moleskin feels just about how you'd expect moleskin to feel and is thick enough to wear in colder temps but not so thick that it's moot in warmer temps either.

Personally don't like the fit, it would be so cool if it fit straight. This whole new era of size-too-big jackets is lame, but I'm excited to see how they use the fabric on future silhouettes!
