That's very strange since the receiver is responsible for all duty and taxes regardless of country.

Is this legit or more fake news?

The thing is the duties that the customer will have to pay on these peices would be unreal. Basically paying double for a jacket. I believe they are implementing this to save the american consumer who pays 1000 bucks for a pair of pants and then gets hit with another 1000 in import fees.

I think it’s less to do with the tariffs and more to do with the formal import threshold being changed from $2500 USD to $800 USD which has created a significant increase in logistical requirements for delivery/import broker services.

In this case, likely both Acronym and DHL have more complex loads of paperwork (which can still be subject to change without notice).

I think it's more likely that they halted operations because most of the clothing is made in China, and they were concerned about potential customs issues related to that.

DHL stopped shipping B2C to the US for orders > $800 because of the volatility over there, right now.
https://www.dhl.com/us-en/home/important-information/2025/shipments-to-the-united-states-with-a-customs-value-exceeding-usd-800.html

Acronym, as of a few months ago, exclusively DHL as their shipping partner, so they have no choice but to stop orders.

Burning your country to the ground to cozy up to Putin & poisoning politically illiterate people's minds is one thing, but depriving you guys of your Acronym!? Does his tyranny know no end.....

I wonder how much of ACR sales come from the USA? It must be huge. This will be a big hit on ACR's sales/profits.

I was always under the impression that a majority of sales went to Asia. But since they almost have their own cosmos of internet networks we in the west don't notice that a lot. Losing US sales will hurt for sure but it probably won't be catastrophic, I imagine.

Interesting comment!!! When I was selling a bunch of ACR gear a few years ago, most of my customers were Asian. at the time, I never gave it a second thought. My best customer was in Canada and he bought stuff from me to forward to his friend in China. I have no idea why he did this! 🙂

Hey guys, I've been thinking of getting the P30A-M, but I have a question about the M nylon stretch material.
How does it compare to DS and E in terms of water resistance, stretch, warmth and feel? I own a few DS pants, but nothing E or M. E does seem nice though.

I was wondering because I don't wanna be disappointed and regret the purchase if it would be better to just wait for another P30 re-release in a different material.

While the site calls -M NYLON STRETCH, there is little to no stretch in the actual fabric.

Feels cheap (worse than -E), totally not windproof=>ok for summer time, pretty floppy, no stretch.

P30 in - e/-ds is the better choice.

I wear shorts a lot so I am always pleased when ACR makes a new offering. In recent times however most of the short pants from ACR have been pretty poor. The SP56A-M continues that tradition of crap!

1: The cut is loose but way too high in the crotch so they are very uncomfortable while sitting at desk, driving a car, watching TV etc.

2. The phone pockets are hidden in the cargo pockets making answering the phone a clumsy 2-handed process

3. The material is supposed to be stretchy but it doesn't stretch at all. Bring back DS!

4. The back pockets are difficult to access because of the design.

The only thing I like was the top cargo pockets are easy to open and close.

Bring back classic designs like the SP28-DS or the SP28TS-DS!

SP62 are coming soon. They are pretty close to sp28

Just curious . .  . what do you like about this jacket?

silhouette, pocket layout, 3d collar and fabric choice. most of all i’d say no design changes that dilute it compared to the gt version. no stupid silver zips like on the j1we, not to mention its j47a and not j47w.

I wish it were j47w tbh

The j47a was my first ever Acr jacket but the cut is really slim and less mobile, and the hood is comically tiny that I switched to j1a

But aesthetics-wise is way better than the j1a and the left j47a pocket is way more convenient and accessible imo than the front j1a pocket

I sized up from my usual M to L on j47aws. Fits way better.

J47ae looks wider on fotos than j47aws. But yeah,  wish it were wide.

welp, at 1050eur for j47a-e, i gotta admit this could be the first big step in the right direction for acrnm. not only did they manage to execute one of their most popular jackets in a desirable fabric, but they did it at a fair price. maybe this was a shot in the dark, or maybe….just maybe… we’re going to finally get what we’ve always hoped for. og acr at fair prices.

agreed, anything other than matte zip would've made it so ugly lol

I wish the “wide” was an option aspect of the size and not the overall design. Doesn’t make sense to redesign a successful “profile” fitting jacket into a “wide” variation. If a wider redesign is really that necessary, simply offer the jacket in two different Fits; Original and Wide.
