Hawaiis and Oki are not the same denim, the former is right hand twill and the latter left.

Raw Sugar Canes are rare outside of ordering from History Preservation and specifying the raw jean. If your model number ends with N, they are unwashed. An A indicates that they are one wash.

they are given a pretty good wash. you won't do much by trying to shrink them further.

'66's, i've had them for years, washed them, worn them; I don't keep track. They were bought RAW from Craft. I wore them no soak until first wash.

hi guys..

i have a pair of sugar cane 1947 in size 30 (fit well) and size 31 (looser fit). the 30 has been posted in this thread. anyways, i'm curious to try a pair of sc2009...what size would i be in this jean? also, how would the fit compare to the 1947, i realise will be tighter, but how much? i have dior 19s which are probably too tight for my body type (5'7 and 145 pounds) and i had apc petit standards which were way too tight..so curious how the sc2009 will come in

Does the SC11962A Sugar cane jacket, also have mixed in sugar cane fibers like some of their other offerings? Also is the patch on it cow-hide, deer skin, or paper? And finally, does it run pretty small, pretty accurate repo?

unfortunately they're too tight in the waist to wear now, shame as these are just getting started...

My 66's are one of my favorites as well, setterman. I love the crinkles.

Sugar Cane fits aren't necessarily for everyone, but their denims are really tough to beat. And right there in what I consider to be the perfect weight for jeans; 14-15 oz. The 66s are really rad! And the 47s.

And for 1000 bucks, you can buy enough pairs to last the rest of your life, with a raw pair left to be buried in.

I'd like to see Sugar Cane add a genuine cinchback repro, such as the 1933, to their regular line-up.

I have never posted these anywhere before so here,s a first.

SC 47s +Arcs Circa 2003. 3-4 years of wear, Two hot soaks, Never washed, (although they do need it)

Obenaufs leached into waistband from belt.

Pulled them on today for the first time in years, Sweet Jesus you forget how dam good the fit is.

The love of Canes seems to have been diminishing somewhat since around 08 imo. People taking the easy route of supercombs and not much other substance. You only get out what you put in with SC, Gotta love em.

I Picked üp my okis in Tokyo this year and was really looking forward to living in them. I have more denim then i can wear at this point Büt since i Picked these üp in The denim promised land the okis Will eventually get their due. The python skin patch is what drew me into The Word of selvedge years Ago. Great Wõrk double!

^^ I don't think it's about taking an easier route, it's simply due to a general trend toward slimmer cuts, whereas Sugar Cane has always lent more toward vintage style fits.
