Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

Some years back I read a piece online by a guy who was breaking in a pair of 35 ounce denim jeans.

The first day he'd attempted to do some kind of a mild hike in them and found that the backs of his knees were bleeding.

Apparently the jeans were breaking him in rather than the other way around...

Hat or glasses but not both!

Makes me feel like a character from 'Guess Who' ..  just too much head adornment

Is your character wearing a hat and glasses? .. "Yes" is it Double 0? :D

Problem is.. i sometimes need both, i wear reading glasses for studying drawings / precision at work but through the winter, i wear a watch cap or wool beanie to keep me warm.. the hat makes the arms of the glasses rub my head behind my ears.. also if anyone calls in, i take the hat off to avoid the Guess Who vibe.. also tennis, i could do with wearing a ball cap and sunglasses to avoid glare from the sun and sweat running into my eyes..  but again, it either has to be one or t'other.. never both :D

Can anyone pull this shit off or is cranial frippery something to be avoided?

I wear a cap and sunglasses when out as I sometimes need both (my eyes strain from the sun - apparently it's part of being a bit short sighted) but at work l sometimes have hat (various), sunglasses or safety glasses and ear defenders. And when it's dark in the mornings also a head torch which is a nightmare but thankfully not often have to wear all at once.

Cap and glasses, throws off the balance of an outfit, makes it too top heavy..

If i was in Doc's position, i would have to wear boots, gators and crampons to balance it out or maybe even ski's ..

To be fair, the cap, sunnies and ear defenders combo may be top heavy looking for you, but they protect me from unwanted golfer attention (which is nearly always) and l look like a cool helicopter pilot to boot 😂

Crap! It might be just me then..

I've always resisted wearing a balaclava with deely-bobbers for the same reason but if you guys are saying it's ok?

You are not alone! The only time I think I’ve worn a hat/specs is when skiing (woolly hat/sunglasses) and maybe a sun hat & shades on a summer holiday once or twice. It simply doesn’t feel right to me to have too much clutter around my bonce.

I agree.
I was wearing contacts for many years, but apparently overdid it. So the optician strongly recommended to me to wear glasses again, which I've been doing now for a year. And in winter I have to wear a watch cap or similarly and I'm always happy when I get inside and can take it off. It just feels better.
Before I'd sometimes wear a hat or cap the whole day.
