@mandel9000 Those look great! My gf would love a pair of those but she's a 26" waist and they don't seem to be made that small.

Well, these are a size 32 and I'm usually a 30 (29-31 really, depending on cut), so a 28 might work if she can live with the fact that the waist would be a little loose. The overall slimness makes the cut pretty neat and not sloppy.

Co-Sign I think she would find that the 28" would be a pretty close fit.

I wear 30" normally and had to get the 32" :)

thank you guys. This is the fruit of some fading and love labor. That TCB 50's jacket is without any doubt my all time favourite garment.

It has become a part of my "uniform" to an extent that my family and colleagues take the piss of me as I always wear the same clothes, like Donald Duck. But those are the results!

Since the jacket is sewed with cotton thread many of the original stitchings are gone, I had my local tailor to re sew all the worn parts with a normal lockstich machine, it's not anymore like it was but it's 100% structurally sound and i think I can easily keep to wear it just as hard as i've been doing for another 3 years before i'll retire it.

haha yeah I totally relate to that Donald Duck feeling. At work I wasn't wearing my 50s jacket and my colleague told me he almost didn't recognize me as he's never seen me without my jacket on.

good to hear I'm not alone haha! there's something so foolish but at the same stage so great about having a passion for clothes and wearing the same stuff all the time til it disintegrates, or as Ruedi would say til it "fights against its own death"! This is what raw denim passion is all about.

I am having my good friend and leather guru Uwe Tauber making me a large bag to accomodate all the flutes I am touring with.

made with TCB 60's denim and leather!

Still don't know how much will be the final damage but I have the feeling is going to cost a fortune, but feck it.

soft goatskin on the bottom, sturdy bridle leather will be used for the shoulder strap and handles. All the hardware still needs to be installed.

haha there's no rush sooner or leather you might need a little something.  He's a fantastic guy to deal with. Lives not far from Nurnberg, you could probably arrange to meet him directly.

can't quite believe it...

my tcb chambray shirt is stuck at customs since apr 6th..

I send an email to the customs assistance service, they just CALLED me back to say they're sorry that their email didn't arrive.

Quick talk to the man, and he suggests me how to fill up forms to avoid paying customs.

only in this country!

Some evo on my chore jacket.

There has been a quite heavy colour change.

It has become alot more sand coloured. It started out as more brown.

The first picture is most correct when it comes to colour.

30 weeks of wear.

^ brilliant! isn't it great when it happens?

I too had a sudden shopping spree moment due to a pretty similar happening, tax witholding return + an unexpected cheque for music author royalties. Managed to fuck up everything in less than 4 days!

I've just posted this pic in the WAYWT but I think it's appropriate in this thread too.

TCB uniform + White's

Dig how the 60's look with the engineer boots.the 23.5 cm hem width it's just perfect for them i reckon.

Nizzel I love your "serial fader" attitude and your photos are always superb. Did you wash the chore jacket yet?

Thanks Michel. I am glad you like my photos.

No I have not washed it yet.

I heard that it can shrink quite a bit. So when it is time for a wash I will only give it a cold wash.

Having two small children a wash is bound to happen at some point. :)

^ hi there and welcome aboard.

As soon as I have news re the 20's jeans I'll share them here.

There are serious (!) plans about organizing a TCB 20's contest, it will start after the end of the OOE contest which just started a few weeks ago. Approx start date jan 2018 or so. I'll be waiting to get a pair of those 20's til the contest, but I guess the 20's will be available sooner. Don't think it's only a matter of weeks as I know that TCB will use a new denim for that cut, and I guess Hajime will need time to choose a new fabric, make new patterns and adjust things correctly to the shrink factor of a new denim.

So you have all the time to enjoy your FC's and join the contest when it's time!

I've already started to check out braces for my 20's anyway! I think I'll go for a pair of UK R.A.F. surplus braces. The Cabourn braces look great too but I am too much of a cheapskate to shell out that kind of money for some suspenders, for feck sake!
