What about Jeans Jackets ....

Recommended Posts

That SDA stormrider is great, yes! Not looking for a lined version, though. Seems I need to dig deeper, but thanks guys, good to know that Lee jackets are being made after all.

Just saw a decent Lee Rider repro while browsing Attractions Co Ltd's site too.

Of course there's always Lee Europe too. XD

Indeed: http://attractions.cart.fc2.com/ca69/1479/p-r-s/

But they either measure weirdly or that jacket is unbelievably short at 57cm for a size 38. I've seen measurements of the Lee 101J giving length as 68cm for a size m. Hmmmm. (The pockets also look a bit wonky tbh.)

I think I'll just get a normal raw 101J by Lee come spring. There's a couple dealers on eBay. I already ordered one last year, got a size S, decided I had to size up but didn't get to exchange it, just return it and then I got sidetracked and bought some other stuff instead :D

sorry to lower the tone, but this is a non vintage, non selvedge, non fancy Levis Trucker which my mum bought me for under £20 from the debenhams sale a couple of years back! It was the 1 wash version of their trucker and I wore it a couple of times then stuffed it in the wardrobe. This winter it's come out of the closet so to speak when my 12 year old daughter told me that 'double denim' wouldn't embarass her any more and that if rocking the status quo look made me happy, she wouldn't hold it against me (kids are so sweet). So it's been worn regularly this winter and developed some surprisingly nice wear I think. I also think it benefitted quite a bit from it's soujourn at the back of the wardrobe, as the creases in the sleeves must have sort of got sanded / worn by the movement of other garments around it. It didn't go in there looking like this, but it did come out like it! So without further ado:

edit - you can see that the left arm - which would have been the one at the front of the wardrobe, has less pronounced whiskering, more general fading, which is where I draw my conclusion about the wardrobe wear theory!

This is my new jacket, it´s an unknown brand who produce in the Rockabilly scene ... 14oz rinsed Type 1 jacket ... nice detail on the old-school ring-hold buttons. Worn for 5 days while driving to work.

Damn Foxy, that's a nice jacket, congrats. I just sold my water element jeans a week ago but that denim is really nice.

The TCB competition thread (and Volvo's TCB tux in particular!) has had me wanting some of their denim for a while now.

50s jeans jacket arrived earlier this week and I'm well chuffed with it. Body & arms are a bit longer than I'm used to but I'm cool with that.

Proper. Effortless. Nice.

Thinking about one of these type 3s. Like the look of the Tellason cut, just never been massively in love with the Cone Mills fade. Or any of the slimmish type 3's with hand pockets out there I've missed? Have a IH-526L at the moment which I'm gonna sell due to sizing and looking for a 12oz-16oz fabric for my next one.  Id get this one if it came in a nice raw fabric: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/jalana/item/levi-70797-0001/ but can't seem to find one.

I have the Tellason jacket for sale in XXL. It's a really nice jacket. The denim is smooth, consistent and rigid. I bought it on impulse and want a type II instead.
