It was a figure of speech. I can put it another way - artisans do not obliged to be pleasers.

By the way, I don't find TCB 20's in the same league as 0105. I have both, and I like the TCB's, but still, they're simpler and the cut isn't as cool. That said, I can easily imagine someone else making a different conclusion and comparison.

How would you compare these three brands in terms of their core denim models: Resolute, Orslow, Workers. All three fall into a similar market class: simple, neat cuts that are vintage inspired with modern accommodations. All three pair well with ivy, trad and modern styles, moreso than workwear. Of the three I have experience with Orslow, the cut and color of which I enjoy but I find the oxidized rivets to be a little cheesy. Workers makes exceptional OCBDs and outerwear and I am denim curious. Resolute comes in a range of inseam lengths which is helpful for tell people. Do any other brands fall within this niche?

Post O'Alls?

If we include Post then we may as well include Engineered Garments. Though they do plenty of things that stray from simple clean classic cuts these days.

Edit - Engineered Garments Workaday line fits in nicely with Workers.

I’m looking for a basic Buffalo plaid flannel in red/black or yellow/black. Does anyone know Japan made ones that come in big sizes?

FW 17.5 is too small but FW jackets in 48 fit

IH XXXL is too small

SDA too small

UES size 5 are too small.

thanks!

Reviving this thread (sorry...reminded of an instagram reel from Almost Vintage Style that reads being a part of the denim/heritage community = not being able to make decisions by yourself). Looking at either the Fullcount 0105 WW2 brown denim version or the TCB 50's. Want something more comfortable and a bit wider than my samurai s0510xx. I feel like my sammies kind of give me a wedgie, but not sure if that means I need more back rise (which the 0105 would provide but not the 50s) and I hear many great things about the fullcount 13.7 ounce fabric + I love the idea of brown cotton. But... the pricepoint of the 50's is hard to beat and TCB has a great charm to it. Anyone have experience with one (or both) that can weigh in?

I have the FC WW2 jeans (not brown) & TCB 50s.
The TCB 50s proved too low rise for me & are consequently for sale (size 36😉).
The Fullcount are much roomier in the top block, & wider in the leg. Much more my cup of tea although many here love the TCB 50s.

PS. I didn't know there were brown denim FCs. Tempting...
(Where are you seeing those?)

@jkbrwn Ah I see. I thought you meant brown fabric, rather than stitching.

In any case, I'm a fan of the FC WW2 cuts. I have pants & jacket from the last version they did in the recent past.
