I've been wearing a pair of these in indigo/indigo broken twill Taunton for about 6 months

Does this fabric stretch, or shrink?

Thanks for this. There's a bit of stretch, but they shrink back to delivered size with a wash, and the side straps keep the stretch in check- the size they start is the size to go for, bearing in mind that  it's quite a generous cut. I hope this helps!

@heyson looking great! Thank you so much. Are you painting or installing? The scribble makes it look like a Hodgkin. Lovely either way.

Here are some detail photos, sent by a great friend of the brand, of his tan wattle dyed denim 129s. These are also slow to fade (as with the purple logwoods above), but are well worth the time- looking really special I think:

Dyed a pair of unborn socks (I think wool) in safflower a couple of weeks ago:

Difficult to get the colors right with my phone camera; this is the closest I was able to get. Really happy with the results overall. This is after three or four days of wear.

New buttons for the Autumn/Winter 2019 production, these are a first for me, custom stamped in England from solid copper. This was my first time in a sheet metal pressing factory, very noisy, very exciting!:

IMG_7531.thumb.JPG.e03074cea3bd8dade0f926ceb4ae3e3e.JPG

the dies themselves are CNC milled at the factory, in a clean room off the main floor:

IMG_7616.thumb.JPG.3f509ca3deb0a35550527fef5f2fc0cc.JPG

my buttons come in two sizes (small for shirts and pyjama trousers, large for coats and jackets) and a single die set was made with large and small next to each other. Sorry no photos of these, they were set up in the machine on the day I visited. Here are some other die sets, though:

IMG_7610.thumb.JPG.9e00c37cff3754d9e9b7db243b48011a.JPG

My stampings are very small, of course, but some of the big machines are incredible. This one stamps out license plate numbers for lorries and trains:

By comparison, my buttons are much less hardcore:

The copper gets fed in on a strip, and the operator sets the stamp going, pushing the solid copper in one side, and pulling the remains through the other side:

IMG_7590.thumb.JPG.0ac6e1ed77f30f449b383ed6937caa2a.JPG

and out plop some buttons:

IMG_7584.thumb.JPG.f1527aede258b7883f264e5f9c769332.JPG

the scrap is the frame of the copper strip, little slugs from the button holes, and bigger slugs from the locator punch next to each button, these all get melted back down to make more copper strips:

the buttons come out with knife-sharp edges, so they get tumbled to soften the edges and brighten the copper up, but they're not lacquered or otherwise finished, so they will tarnish really nicely with wear.

No pic of the buttons?

I love the idea of copper buttons BTW. Copper is a cool metal.

Here's a closeup of the larger size on an indigo molleton Cook's Coat. Shirts will be coming through in the next couple of weeks with smaller copper buttons, more soon!

Happy New Year Tender people.  Regarding Tender 136 Oxford Jeans, if I am a size 33 waist.  I am 32 on Boncoura 66 and XX, and size 2 in Orslow 101.  What is the right size I should get for the 136 Oxford model.  To wear comfortably without a belt.

Many thanks

Thanks for this @vexed_wear! Just about to reply to your email, but I think a size 3 should work nicely for you. I'm expecting a restock of these in the next couple of weeks.

@UkeNo thank you.  They don’t do express shipping to London as my friend is leaving to Bangkok by the 12th.   Custom tax in Thailand is too unpredictable and wildly expensive not worth ordering to the country : (

I've been in touch with @rodeo bill for further details on a run of Tender Co. jeans - here's a snippet of his reply:

'I'm reallypleased to be included in a competition list, and of course I'd be delighted to help out any way I can, however as I think I mentioned my production is really full with seasonal garments production, so I'm not sure when I'd be able to fit in a jeans run.

From a quick look at the poll it seems like people are more into some of the other brands for this (I really like the sound of the Green option!) If you guys do decide you'd like to do a Tender contest I'll have a certain amount of stock available from the end ofJan, probably enough for everyone to get they're preferred cut and size, if that helps. '

Maybe we can continue this in the Tender thread.
Thanks
