Hey Riff, I also have a pair of 44 but they are the ones with the thicker and bigger painted arcs. After my first soak, the color has a very blue hue to it and fabric became extremely soft which is very different from yours which still possess the sheen and stiffness of the fabric. Do you have any idea about if the two 44s are different in terms of the cotton as I find this very strange.

kit, check with Paul on the LVC thread. I'm no expert, but I know that the denim on the various LVC models has varied over the years. If you can pinpoint the year yours were made, Paul would know what denim was used. I also hang-dried mine, so they stayed nice & crunchy...
