S1003XX hemmed, washed again, and tried on.

Yeah, I like these. Still mystery around what the fabric is - even wondered whether it was the same as the Signet x Warehouse contest jeans fabric. That was said to be a WW2 fabric, and had the same mustard selvedge id.

Regarding the different denim fabrics.
Here is a interesting comparison of the
WH 1936 type 1 model Lot 2001XX(2000XX)
(which was first released around three years ago, Jan. 2022; ca. 13.7oz, I couldn't find any exact weight number, it's stated as 7.5x 7.5 pink selvedge in Dead Stock Blue) and the
Duck Digger Standard Type 1 Lot DD-2001 (in Banner denim 13.5oz, 7x7).

As can be seen from ca. 00:37 onwards the 1936 DSB on the left is more blue, while the DD banner denim type 1 on the right is more red cast, they even say purple.

The DSB they say is meant to resemble a new old stock denim, that has been sleeping somewhere for decades, while the banner denim is supposed to be close to what vintage denim looks like.

Just received the Warehouse 1082 Chino in non-wash from Takeoff-clothing  

Lovely Blue-Grey Colour.  Good fit in this state but quite long. 

They threw in the Warehouse catalogue too. Just to tempt me further.

Been struggling to find something that I’m happy with fit wise recently, but am very pleased with the 1944 DD-S1003XX. Mostly because they’re not DSB which I’ve decided I don’t really like all that much. I’m turning into @Alec Leamas though and am very upset that I have to get rid of this lovely factory chain stitch…

It's a lovely pair that mate! I was after that before I found the older S1003XX, to be honest, I'm still after a pair. Never had the flannel pocket bags before.

The hem obsession is real, and in fact, I'm proud of it 😂

Not sure if I’ve asked this before (but I probably have). Does anyone know if the DSB denim is the same as the older oxidised denim used n the Warrens?

I have a new with tags pair of these 1944 Duck Digger 1003xx from a couple years ago. Size 34. PM me if you’re interested.

Quick one wash S1003XX fit pic. Left them a tiny bit too long to account for the first few washes. Most pleased. Scuse the dirty  mirror.

First mention of a 30th anniversary product from Bears, a pair of jeans and jacket. Kinda wishing it was a bit more flashy such as a different patch, but will be interesting to see.

From the limited photos, it certainly looks very similar to the S1003XX in the photo above your post lol - but brown cotton. Celluloid also posted about it to their story. I swear I've made my final jeans purchase*.

 

Snagged the last pair of size 31 1001xx in banner denim from Hinoya since it's one somewhat essential* thing missing from my collection. Does anyone have any tips on shrinking that fabric? Does it take a few washes to get it? Hot water with/ no detergent is my go-to for shrink-to-fit these days.
