More photos and comments under spoiler:

Denim is very nice with lots of character. Rigid, slubby, hairy... great!

This is my 4th pair form the 15th Anniv. series, and each one has different lining on the coin purse. This one is my favorite so far:

With a 10.5 inch hem measurement, this is certainly a much fuller cut than I normally wear. I'm looking forward to it though. Pre soak fit:

Thanks! I'm still experimenting with a personal soaking ritual but my current thinking is that wearing for a few weeks before the first soak gives me the best fit. (Going to be hard with something this extreme but I intend to try). So it might be a bit, but I will get those measurements posted as soon as I have em.

Suspenders... not usually my style but buying this pair I will have to give it a shot and see!

Nice purchase ColdStorage - tried the S634-AI a few years back and found it too baggy (unsoaked) for my liking way back then...

Here's a sneak preview of my S526VX-L-15th, soaked and hemmed, 2nd day of actual wear:

Crazy leg twist on right leg with this left hand twill:

Very rough & hairy at the moment - more slung than the recent standard version of VX/Zero twill.

I hope to get some sunlight on the weekend for proper pictures.

I haven't bought from Sakura Style yet. And unfortunately I don't own the S5000AI-OGSP, just the 510AI-OGSP.

Foxy owns the S5000AI-OGSP and IIRC, it uses also a hank dyed 17oz AI denim like the 510 version, but this time in LHT.

YOu might ask him if they run big, small or TTS :)

I had the feeling that both (S5000AI-OGSP and S510AI-OGSP) run a tiny little bit on the big size when compared to recent editions of the regular styles, could also be due to the much stiffer twill - overall it is nothing that should really bother one (considering that the AI models are a real bitch to stretch!)

...

Foxy2 what is the fit of the S526VX-L-15th most comparable too, if you had to compare it to any of your other Samurai's?

Will have to check - they are roomy, not as much as S634 - top block and back rise feels different than S5000 or S500...

Hmmmm, I was thinking they were going to be more of a combination of the 510 and the 3000 cuts, kinda full but slightly tapered. I didn't base that assumption on anything solid mind you.

'had the 526XXII LHT Texas cotton awhile back, w/c i effed up the sizing, unfortunately.

IMO, it seems the 526 is a cross between 510 & 5000.   it has similar silhouette as 5000s,  i.e.,  from upper thigh to hem.

however,  the top block is curved,  but not as roomy as the 510 ... & a medium rise.

left to right:

S526VX-L-15th

S0510AI-OGSP

S0500XX-15TH

S5000VX 17oz.

S001JP

Based on my observations S526VX-L-15th is closest to S0510AI-OGSP - maybe the slightest difference in front rise length, but that's it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a standard pair of S510XX for this comparison...

Here are some detail shots from tonight:

I was hoping to get some proper pictures taken in natural daylight, but this seems to rather difficult as of lately.

I go with my Samurai standard size W32 for the more recent lot sizes (lot.12 and higher) - not exactly "true to size" as my waist is around 33 or 34 inches...

Foxy do you collect and not wear any of your denim?!

I have some older pairs that I hardly wear anymore - because I seem to have fallen out of love with the brand/denim/cut at this moment in time.

I have a few pairs I grew out of or messed up the sizing - but I usually try to trade/replace them with the right size whenever possible.

I have 1 pair that I bought purely for collecting purposes - knowing that it probably won't fit me.

I have 1 or 2 pairs that I have not soaked, yet - these I intend to keep for later, whenever this turns out to be.

I buy new and second hand, I trade and I sell random pairs.
