Sassafras SF-10484 after another couple of hikes through the back country and another couple of trips through the washer and dryer

Good shorts—would likely buy second pair in a different material if they showed up again for sale

Any dirt seen here is permanent

Signal Garments is developing another nice looking jacket, this time an early 1900's chore coat. Tempted by this one as I really like the color.
Also I find it impressive how close this is to the original they're basing it off of. First the repro:

Agreed, I don't think they're original. I think @volvo240thebest and @aho (I think you got a pair, right?) could attest to that.

This is the original hem with still no washes, it's not as tightly fold as Tcb but doesn't look as sloppy as the one in the pics above.

By the way I've written to rebuilt to check his interest to get a contest batch order but I haven't gotten any reply. I am going to write to Matin as well.

Here are my Rebuilts, handful of trips through the washer/drier. They could certainly have more roping but I don’t mind. The denim itself isn’t super shrinky which is also a factor. Construction all around is nice esp. considering price and customizability

@MJF9 honestly, haven't really worn it much yet.
And with this quarantine I haven't worn anything other than a t-shirt and jeans in over two months.
I'll be sure to break it out soon, I've been selling a lot of stuff lately so I'm narrowing the shirts I have in my closet down to what I'll actually wear more regularly.

So I had a bit of chat with the guy who take care of sales for Rebuilt.jp, Koji from Matin.
It was good fun, I love some mild english-japanese translation farce!

He's going to ask the guy who makes the jeans if he's interested to come up with a different cut than the 1922. A contest with the 1922 cut would be of course possible but personally I wouldn't be interested.

Guys, did anyone deal with Gleem Clothing&Co? I was interested in the 202-nd model. But the information is practically zero.

Have you checked DelBombers @Punch ?

There has been a bit of Gleem chat over the years, personally i would keep an eye on Yahoo for their older models, they used to look more like 501's

Gleem 201's taken from the WH thread

Спасибо за внимание, которое вы уделили, Double 0 Soul . К сожалению, DelBombers также не имеет сетки размеров и процента усадки. Я нашел фотографию The Fade на 13,5 унциях джинсовой ткани в Instagram. Мне нравится.

Go West 0502DI, I believe these are from mid-late 90s (possibly ‘94) but certainly pre-lawsuit. I’ve been after a pair for years (I even contacted Go West directly about 6 years ago - they only had a couple of pairs of old deadstock left in size 28 & 30) but gave up until I started looking at Yahoo auctions out of boredom during lockdown and found these beauties for a very good price - still raw and thankfully not too oversized in the waist (check that taper!) as these are a size up from my usual 32. Other dimensions are very loose but will update later.

Anyway, they finally arrived today, apologies for the Broark-esque photo dump.

EDIT: I’ve been trying to find out some more info about these from various denim magazines. Anything I have pre-2005 shows them with arcs and a Lot No of 0502DI, anything after with no arcs (although a red tab) as simply 0502 or 0502 and a different suffix. They’re also a 60s cut apparently!

Turning to the Interweb, the excellent Denimba’s site has been most useful. In an entry of his from 2014, he displays a pair of 0502DI with arcs and tab (same as mine) which he claims to have owned for 20 years, therefore dating them to at least 1994. The inner washing label does have a reference to 93 (9315) so it may possibly refer to a production date of 1993 - who knows?!
