Personally I got a 9,5D in the RW Iron Rangers and a 10D in Alden indys. The RW's are a tad narrow though. (I'm a 10 in DB's and Chucks)

While trying to pack stuff (house moving), I found one of my older pairs of jeans. The denim is extremely soft, no stiffness at all. Wondering how the fit of it looks since it might mean I don't need to bother looking for any black denim.

And I tried a boot tuck with it to see if it'd work:

When talking about how long to wait before washing (i.e. 6 months)...is that 6 months of everyday wear?...or once a week?...or a couple times a week?...or what?

i need help finding a good denim shirt. both raw and heavily washed works. (actually lookin for both) going to nyc in a couple of weeks, tips on where i could find one ? i know most brands have denim shirts in their ss10 collection, but the ones ive tried on didnt feel good enough. too thin and too soft.

i have some slight fades on my FH 1001 worn everyday for exactly 2 months now.....mainly the fades can only be seen under sunlight/ bright locations. Would it be a bad idea to hot soak it now? ive hot presoaked when i got it.

Or should i just wait a few more motnhs before i wash it? thanks

would it be a bad idea to hotsoak my 2 month old Flathead 1001s? The fades so far are only really visible under bright conditions like on a sunny day. Not too prominent yet.

like all pants, for raw denim it doesnt matter. Just look for your waist size, and follow the sizing charts, because its not like normal denim sometimes you gotta size up or down. If they dont have your size, there really is nothing you can do about it. PEACE

Tom - if your on the heavy side - avoid slim fits and check out nice repro 7 vintage fits,,,

Inyourface - if u only have slight fades - why wash...soak is only a way to shrink the jeans back when they stretched out too much...

doesnt it give more contrast to the jeans after a wash as well? not just shrinking it a little bit, right?

Yeah, got this problem too. But I was surprised to see what I found.

Samurai: Some models go up to a 44

45RPM: Sorahikos go up to a 40 but vanity sized to a 42

Evisu MIJ: Found No. 2's up to 46

RRL: up to 40 but vanity sized to a 42

SDA up to 52, but usually 40

Fullcount: 1108's up to a 40

Oni: up to a 40

So I think raw denim pretty much covers a lot of different waist sizes.

Like beatle says, go for a vintage pre-50's cut and you're good.

Anything larger, you're a giant or you need to see a doctor.

I recommend Eco-Ver or Woolite black.
