holy cow. i just got my apcs and they are extremly extremly tight! they dont even button on! Im a size 28 and i sized down 2 to 26 but they dont fit! they dont even button should i attempt to stretch them? theyre sooo tight on me!

Nope...be patient...they will stretch.

after you wear them a bit...they'll stretch enough for you to get the last buttons done up...then they'll stretch even more. after you wash them, they shrink, but stretch out almost right away when you put them back on.

Are we talking NS's or Cures? I have a pair of APC's that I sized down 2 on...they still fit slim in the legs, as they were meant to, but the waist is now too big.

I've never that sprinkling water would help prevent tearing...can't imagine that would do much of anything. You could always have a tailor (or yourself) reinforce the areas that are thining by applying a piece of denim on the inside.

Johnbiru/Johnbull is very nice. Definitely better than Nudies or APC. I forget what was different about their Sewing Chop, but I think it is their repro inspired line. If they fit you nicely, then go for it.
