LVC sweatshirt, At Last Co. 147’s (size 30), Converse

The 147’s did not shrink anywhere near as much as I had expected so I’m holding off hemming until the next wash or two. Not a fan of cuffs but I pressed them this time and think it doesn’t look half bad

Aren’t At Last jeans sanforized or am I wrong about that?

Honestly, I'm not sure. The flasher said 'shrink to fit' and Brogue California gave me estimated shrinkage for all dimensions, but I've read conflicting info on the At Last thread and lost virtually nothing in terms of the horizontal measurements. A hot wash only took about an inch, maybe less, off of the length too, but maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the wash cycle I chose.

@vIGGiou riou posted some pre and post wash measurements on page 16 on the At Last thread

@yung_flynn Really envious of that rugby shirt; those are such a classic look. All the modern ones seem to be cheap & outsourced. McCoy’s did a great version 2–3 years ago (I think it was actually even in a similar color to yours) but the fit was all wonky. Gotta get back into scanning vintage shops, I guess

I got this one off eBay for less than $50 (made in Narranganssett, RI). I’ve seen one or two others pop up in this pattern for similar prices since I got it too. There’s a few other Rugged Wear color ways out there too that I’ve run across but most are a little too vaporwave for me.

Withernot sells a rugby really close to this one for $125 but I have no experience with their stuff

@mlwdp Great find! (in response to @yung_flynn 's post I mean)

Forgive my ignorance,  but who is that? He looks like a cross between Ryan Gosling and Paul Simon.

Funnily enough Chevy Chase appeared in a music video by Paul Simon back in the 80's,  the name l think was  'You can Call me AL'. I was a big fan of Chevy Chase films back in the day.

@Geeman Good shout, not familiar with them but they seem like a really good option. Might fall back on trying one of those if I can’t find a good vintage alternative

@yung_flynn I’ve actually been seeing a lot of ads for Withernot, recently. Their designs look good but all they have to say about their provenance is “imported”, which feels tough to support
