Found some more 1003XX clues, here: https://indigoveins.com/warehouse-1003xx/

I believe the creator of this blog is on sufu?

Anyway, this pair have some of the details of the one's I've just picked up, though the pair described here have flannel pocket bags and normal buttons, whereas mine have plain pocket bags and donut buttons.

Wasn't expecting non-Levi's DSB's so these Cowboy's really piqued my interest:

These popped up on Celluloid 1984.

Warehouse DEAD STOCK BLUE 1010 DSB OFFSET LOOP COWBOY PANTS WW II MODEL TAISEN JEANS WAREHOUSE 2025 New - Celluloid

I like them and I'm a sucker for Leepros. The size chart seems pretty similar to the cut of the TCB Cat's Drive, but with some WW2 details instead of a late 40s model. I'd consider getting them, but I still have a tab open for a deadstock pair of Sugar Cane M41027 in my size for less money which would scratch that itch.

Warehouse Bodies wool jacket came in earlier in the week and I am having trouble getting it dry cleaned because of the leather piping on the pockets. No care tag to be found and not sure of the details from Warehouse regarding when it was made, etc. Does anyone have any info on this jacket that may be helpful?

Not that it’s a competition but my one wash DD-2001 just came in and it’s yet further proof as to why I love Banner so much. Type 1s suits my build far better than Type 2s - particularly my paper tag 2002 and Banner is also way comfier right off the bat. I can also actually button this up fully, comfortably. It’s a 44, 2002 is a 42, the largest size that was available.

DD-2001 pocket on the left. 2002 pocket on the right.

Very stoked.

  • 2 weeks later...

My S1003XX arrived today, so here are some raw images and measurements...

You'll see all the details below. I'm relatively certain it's banner denim, but I can't be sure - I've only seen Banner raw once.

I feel I've struck it lucky here anyway! I'll be washing them at some point soon then working out how long I want them - I'm going to go for some cuff this time out, I reckon. Not too much though.

I've spammed a tonne of images in the hope that someone may have some idea on date or fabric type. Not bothered with an inseam measurement, but it stands at about 34 1/2" at present.

Absolutely! Had mixed results on other pairs with that, some are frayed to high heaven and others legible and pretty much unscathed! Will be doing it prior to the first wash I should think

Little measurement update on the S1003XX:

Waist: 16 1/2"
Thigh: 12 3/4"
FR: 13"
BR 16 1/2"
IS: 32"

Wondering whether it is indeed Banner denim as these shrinkage numbers don't look like your regular Banner denim stats.

It's also remained very hefty after the first wash. Wondering whether it's a slightly heavier "WW2" denim I know we've mentioned on here a few times.

Anyway - they're heading to SOAS for a hem and then will wash again and get some wear in.

@Alec Leamas hard to tell from photos alone, but I don’t think it’s the WW2 denim. Reason being my WW2 tailor jacket was described by celluloid as having the WW2 denim, and it looks to be both darker and a bit more irregular than what I’m seeing here. However, I will say that the stuff is stiff and crunchy. Additionally, I gave my jacket a second wash (hot) to get any more shrink out and got almost nothing on the 2nd go, which was unexpected for warehouse denim.

That would be absolutely right, I believe the current WW2 denim (a variation on DSB, I think?) is a lot rougher and irregular than this. I think this may be the older WW2 denim - from around the 25th anniversary kind of time - I remember 2 pairs came out then - the 1001XX-25 in banner and an S1001XX war model too - with a different fabric....I'm assuming this one to be that WW2 fabric, rather than your newer DSB-related one!

That comment on 2nd wash shrinkage also rings true for DSB type fabric, I get much less prolonged shrinkage on anything I have that's made from DSB.

That could be the S1001XX denim, but it's hard to say.  Figuring out Warehouse naming/denim styles can be confusing.

Here is a picture of my S1001XX 25th pair after their first wash.  I'll get some pics with better natural lighting when the weather is a little better here.

That denim does look more like banner to me - I've also considered the fact that I perhaps didn't give it quite enough time in the wash / water temp to liven it up.

I wonder what response I would get if I just went direct to Warehouse and asked them - has anyone tried anything like that before? I had the whole Denime hemming issue back and forth end of last year but that was more a practical matter than a denim nerdery investigation

It can't hurt to ask them! I'm curious what their response would be.

Here is a pic of the S1001XX before I washed them and taken in different lighting.

Yeah - I will ask actually.

If I get any sort of response I'll share here!

Unwashed those S1001XX are looking more similar to mine, the patches are the same material too that's for sure, and had a look at the care tag on my 1001XX-25 and it's got blue text too, so probably all from around the same time!

Nice, you already ripped the top arc off? I need to wash and dry my pair to make sure they fit before I take a seam ripper to the arcs.

@frank Yeah I get you. I just tried them on and they were just a bit loose in the waist, but I figured that would get fixed with a warm soak so I just went full commitment and got to ripping the arcs off.

@olmecasteve - that older pair is looking amazing!!

Are both of these the same size??

@Alec Leamas Yes both are size 34. I referenced an old measurement chart for the cowboy model and they were pretty similar in measurements so i decided to stick to the same size.
