Damn, I must really be easy on my jeans because I feel like these jeans don't fade at all. Been wearing them ~5 days a week since the comp started and I can barely see anything lightening up.

That was exactly the point of my question here the other day. Why do my jeans—even though I usually rotate several pairs—stay looking like new for many months, while someone else’s start wearing out literally the next day? Not that I’m worried about it—quite the opposite, actually. I like that my rare and rather expensive (for my budget) pieces last a long time. I’m just curious. My guess is that I usually wear jeans for only a few hours a day when I go out for walks/errands (several hours daily) and change into something more comfortable as soon as I get home.

Doing slides on the playground helps with back pocket evolution

Oh, so you’re sliding down now? How many times a day? The picture is starting to come together. Though, if we’re being honest, Tilmann, I’m starting to think you should be disqualified from the contest! 🤣

Haha! ^^^ That's great. Glad to see the people making these things have a sense of humor. (Re the slide).

I've had a hard time documenting much lately, but I'm working on it!

Dude, you have a 3 month old. That is doing absolutely more than enough in itself!! Beautiful set of photos by the way - those early days are so so precious. My youngest isn't even 2 yet and I miss the early early times - insanity maybe? I'm okay with insanity if so.

@CSL I feel that in time your approach will have some striking results.

You've also piqued my interest in the JL donkey boots recently!

Yes. I'm hoping so. Been doing some reading up on home dry cleaning, baking soda, white vinegar, steamers, etc. We'll see if I can continue to resist the lure of the washing machine.

About the Lofgrens, they're feeling good now they're a bit broken in. Initially the high-ish heel felt a bit challenging but it's better now.

Football … it’s called football 🙄😂

Well, I don’t know.
We weren’t carrying the ball and running at eachother or throwing it and weren’t smashing into anyone. None of that. We were only using our feet, so I don’t think football makes sense. Not in good ol murican logic anyways.

Importantly, was the ball spherical or did it have pointy ends?

The term ‘soccer’ comes from Oxford-er slang, which was prevalent at Oxford University from about 1875, and is thought to have been borrowed from the slang of Rugby School. Initially spelt ‘asoccer’ (a shortening of ‘association’), it was later reduced to the modern spelling. This form of slang also gave rise to ‘rugger’ for rugby football and the now-archaic ‘footer’ that was also a name for association football. The word ‘soccer’ arrived at its current form in 1895 and was first recorded in 1889 in the earlier form of socca.

I’m not sure about ‘fitba’ though…

Still, if you’re wearing WoM jeans, then surely its calcio?

I'm in the same boat. I'm wearing them 6-7 days a week and they haven't faded much at all. I was surprised others said they were fast faders as they feel the opposite for me.

That said, I really like them. The cut works well for me and they've got a few idiosyncrasies that I love about a great repro.
